Alright y’all, I’ve been seeing everyone throwing out 2026 goals so here is my very simple 2026 goal:
In 2026, I will become a published author.
On a day I was almost certain I wouldn’t be able to make space to write, I managed almost 1000 words and finished up a chapter! It’s a small win, but I’m proud of it!
Tonight’s writing session has been cancelled by precious puppy cuddles. Writing will resume tomorrow at its regularly scheduled time slots.

If variety is the spice of life, then mine needs a heat warning. In the last 48 hours I have: Finished outlining Act 1, doctored a chicken, rescued a stray cat, worked on finals for the semester, cleaned my house, worked on business planning with my wife, and got groceries for the week.
Nextcloud is so useful, I almost never see people talking about it though!
This morning my old dog curled up next to me and laid her snout on my leg. It’s how we cuddle.
My wife’s 100lb Anatolian Shepherd puppy jumped up on the other couch, flopped across her legs, curled his snout into her neck… and sneezed. She screamed, chaos ensued.
