Ah I got to level 4. Twixel sold 40k copies. Fenced In? Barely 100.
Hopefully the next game (The Lonely Meadow) does better and I can call myself a full time Games Developer one day!
My player character is in the game, along with improvements to the vegetation system to ensure it's a smooth 120fps most of the time! It's starting to come together!
Yep, I had my eye on a 8TB ssd in September for about £400 ($500ish?). Within a few months it was already £800, now it's £1000 easily. Insane

Early days, but grass on my new game gets "revived", and that revival is stored on a mask that's saved every 5 seconds. The player can also pick up items that need to be reassembled.
Now need to do the logic of getting those items to move to their position correctly.
Fuck this hits home hahahha

What's also weird is how all alien races from across the cosmos seem to have come up with some kind of universal standard for the upgrades/machines.

Ever since uni I've always wanted to work on a game involving grass in some capacity thanks to the game Flower. So I decided to actually start working on millions of blades of grass on a chunk based system. On an m1 pro, this is getting around 90fps at 4k with almost 7-8 million blades of grass
