A hand embroidery in a 14 inch hoop. It depicts 3 birds and a big purple mushroom and some grass and flowers.
I think this embroidery might be almost finished. Lots of found objects. Lots of silk threads. Lots of time. #artsky

A work in progress laid out in an embroidery hoop. The scene is a baby sock that has been given button eyes and a frog nose, staring at a pile of assorted sewing paraphernalia like a thimble, a needle threader, buttons, threads, a lingerie strap, etc.The background is mattress ticking fabric.
When Babysock Bedbug tries to climb into the Seamstress’ bed, this is what they are confronted with…

A photo of a hand embroidered “critter” created from trash found along the road and silk embroidery threads.
Another creature created from a piece of found trash along the road. His name is Archibald. Hand embroidered. Vintage buttons. #embroidery
A detail photo of a hand embroidered piece showing an orange bird with a black eye.
This used to be a carabiner that I found broken on the road. All hand embroidered. Mostly silk blends threads. #artsky #embroidery
This is beautiful work.
Probably most of what is currently left. I am working on elements for the foreground, so we will see.
A photo of a piece of embroidered art in progress.
Did some more embroidery on this piece.
I am with you on that. Using over-dyed and variegated threads is so much fun.
A work in progress photo of a hand embroidery featuring a patterned chartreuse background fabric, brown and tan stitched ground, four bird shaped blades of grass, and the start of a plant with yellow and pink leaves.
More work on my embroidery project.

Beautiful
Photo is of a postcard sized embroidery collage. There is a tiny cat shaped change purse with a headdress consisting of white strings, big red glass heart shaped beads, purple leaves and 2 orange flowers. The background is green.
I was in a mood so I made another postcard using a small change purse I found in the road.

A 28 x18 inch hooped embroidery found objects collage. It depicts a folly on a blue and green checked background, surrounded by multi colored trees and several fantasy critters made from trash found along the roadsides of Maine.
Finished it. 3+ years of on and off again embroidery collage work. #artsky #embroidery
A work in progress photo of a hand embroidered piece. The background fabric is chartreuse with green circles printed on it. The stitching so far is a “ground” done in shades of tan, brown, and orange. A blue blade of grass that looks like a swan is in the center of the canvas. That is it so far.
Did some more stitching on this piece, finally. Sometimes the background stuff drags on forever on my pieces.

A hand embroidered postcard made using a plastic found along the road. It depicts a heart with a smiley face surrounded by a decorative border made of a Lego and chopped up Nerf projectiles. Underneath the heart it reads “Love Your Neighbor.”
I hand embroidered another postcard from trash found on the street (nerf projectiles, a Lego, a plastic heart, nozzles from air canisters) and some beads left over from old projects. Not really a meant to be a valentine. #artsky
A detail of a large hand embroidered work that includes 3 “creatures” made from collaging small bits of trash together. The background is green and yellow, there is a grey beaded building in the background and a fuzzy tree of gold to the left of the photo. The creatures are a winged horse, a bug eyed rabbit, and a gnome-like creature holding a gardening tool.
I put my little trash collaged guy on a background! This piece of embroidery is like 27 inches by 18 inches and it is now almost done. #artsky
Some small pieces of metal and plastic found along the road have been laid out to resemble a strange looking figure wearing a hat.
Small pieces of metal and plastic found along the road have been embroidered together onto a brown background to create a figure wearing a green hat. He will be cut out and placed on a different background.
Found some trash along the road. Made a caretaker for an estate. No glue used. All hand embroidered. I did add some beads, a brooch and a bit of broken chain. #foundobjects #artsky
Good morning back.
Very cute!
A couple of them are, yes.
Not any more or less than I would if I carried around a couple of tissues, I guess. I mean, I wash them once they have been used, so they don’t get that bad.
I still use a cloth hankie. Admittedly, they were my dad’s, but they are so much nicer than paper tissues.
Detail of a Hand embroidered dimensional art piece. The detail is a close up of a purple tree with orange beaded flowers. The background is green and blue.
My current work in progress- something I started before my mom died, and am just getting back to.

A hand embroidered postcard with a white background, a snowman outlined in black thread, and the words “Maine loves snow but hates ice” stitched in red. The snowman is wearing a red hat with a tassel.
A new postcard. #craftivism

I love it
A 14 inch embroidery hoop with a chartreuse and green printed background. Artist has begun stitching brown/orange/cream silk background landscape.

It’s a 14 inch hoop. Ignore the tissue paper.
Thank you!
Thank you for your kind words. (I had to find Ax-Man’s on the internet. I didn’t know what it was. I have to get all my trash out of the ditches here in Maine. Lol )
Aww, thank you so much.
Thank you!
A bunch of found objects randomly placed on top of some green felt.
A weird green creature made using found objects from previous photo on a piece of green felt.
Took a pile of trash, embroidered a thing. I never use any type of glue on my projects, so this guy was a bit tricky to stitch together. What do you all think? #artsky
