I don't think it makes sense for Iran to let the strait open until the US and Israel entirely end their hostilities.

Russian oil should not flow into Europe. Ukraine should destroy the pipeline.
Step 0 in using a GenML system: tell it to stop complementing ideas, stop being enthusiastic, and to be direct.
I find all the bouncy positivity they start with to be like garlic to my vampire.
And corroborated by Trump's sons who didn't realise they shouldn't talk about it publicly until they had already talked about the Trump Tower meeting a fair bit.

From the book of Proverbs I think?
Curious how many replication studies this will see.
If you follow Tom, as I do, you're there for his opinions alongside the rest. And his personality, which I like. He's someone I'd love to share meals with, I think.
We're all entitled to rank presidents. I don't resent Tom for having opinions. I think he'd be less interesting without them. Even when they're not on topics I'm keen to opine about.
It may be that existence of a single bad clip, even in full conversational context, shouldn't be seen as deeply damning. And that we should look for sustained deliberate intent.
This unfortunately takes a lot more effort to gather and possibly subjective judgement in weighing.
How, specifically, would you want what circumstances taken into account how?
This is one of those matters of judgement that defines part of our views on politics; if you're willing to put in the time you could probably justify either, or just remain unopinionated if you don't want to do the research.
I suspect if you were to judge any human, based on the totality of things they said over their life (including behind closed doors to small numbers of people), we'd all come up pretty short.
There've been times I said things (or gone along with them) and then regretted that within a day.
I really don't know if there's a way to express to Amazon how dumb it is they can't give a delivery window tighter than "sometime this day before 10pm", but I would love to talk to somebody about it.
I'm sure they have the information internal to the company and could give me a time +-30m.
I think I agree with the broad sentiment, but FDR's serving 4 terms and being a war leader may have given him a larger weight than most. Maybe not as much as Washington or Lincoln though, but I suspect larger than any other POTUS.
A society where punishnemt is never on the table won't work very well, but a society where the urge to punish becomes dominant is a disaster.
If you must zealously regulate your own character and those in a movement with you, this is one of the most important topics on which to focus.
Enjoying the idea of cruelty while believing it will only be directed at somebody else is one of those classic errors.
Wondering if it ate or drank something fermented and is drunk
I've been seeing a lot of problems over the last few hours. This has happened a few times over the last few weeks.
The lesson is that any kind of special relationship with the US under Trump is nearly worthless - Trump is too erratic and will keep making crazy demands continually. Either remain on that roller coaster of craziness with little benefit, or get off and understand Trump to be a madman.
Deep reforms to the pardon (e.g. make them revocable or require assent from congress or just abolish them), and more broadly rebalance power away from the executive branch. Make independent agencies more formally independent
There are some other reforms that may be more spicy or difficult to design
I'm here and on substack. I'd rather you be everywhere you might have readers.
Curious whether the claims made about a meeting between Cardinal Pierre and US officials should be taken more seriously given this.
A bit more on Hasan Piker and extremism:

I hope he rapidly realigns Hungary away from Moscow.
It is good to see Orban leaving power. It will be good if the social movement tied to him fades like a bad dream. He was a terrible leader.
Would be lovely if Israel were to get more of a bloody nose next time.
The EU needs a mechanism to suspend or expel members.
What happens if a commitment to this means losing the election?
