The Lake Harriet elf house is ready for visitors!
The Twin Cities No Kings crowd was massive and the messages from the speakers were clear:
1. Thank you (for your determined resistance and compassion for each other).
2. It’s not over.
3. People are the power (always were, always will be).
*There were over 3.300 marches worldwide.
Look who I ran into! Great game too. (Wolves won in overtime!)
Me. I can then pick up my order too!
Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
Me. Thanks for all you do, David!

This reminds me of how much I miss Kitchen Window and the “old Uptown” (Figlios, et al).
It was as though the elm was painting the sky saying, “Everything will be okay. Spring is coming.” And the rose-colored light draped our windows and my face looking outward.
There is so much we can't control right now. But we can show up for each other. And it turns out, showing up is enough to provide love, hope and belonging to a stranger. The back story: substack.com/@karenschult...

Picture is of Alex Pretti’s memorial I took a week ago.
Did you know Minnesotans rarely use car horns? We’ll sit behind a car that doesn’t move when the light turns green, waiting until the driver realizes it’s time to go. So you can imagine the sound of blaring horns mixed with whistles in our neighborhoods tells us something is really, really wrong.
I have two - one of which I bought in ‘96, is heavier than hell and is worth nothing. I get a good workout with it though.
Excellent voting resource.
Please consider donating to Haven Watch in Minneapolis. They offer immediate help to people released from ICE detention. Donate at Venmo @HavenWatch or www.gofundme.com/f/safe-haven... They are asking for donations.

It was a beautiful Luminary Loppet on Lake of the Isles, Minneapolis last night; crisp air, laughter & chatter, beautifully sculpted luminaries, music, children on sleds & a nice walk on a frozen lake & the magnificent city as the backdrop.

I hear ya. That’s the best time to try. ;)
Hope the sunshine today and the resistance every day helps. Take care!
Running into friends who, after a warm embrace, talk about what’s going on in Minneapolis with tears in their eyes. My eyes are filled too. Maybe yours are too.
It’s okay to not be okay. What’s happening is not humane.
In between fighting the regime, we must tend to our self care.
Thank you!
Beautiful. Just amazingly compassionate and beautiful.
Have a pal who will match the first $1,000 you all donate to the Immigrant Law Center TODAY. You can reply with verification (make sure ID info obscured) or DM me. Thanks everyone!
You are awesome and so are your friends, Mr. Brauer!
