I must admit, I’ve taken this redundancy news quite badly.

The dishwasher broke this morning and it almost tipped me over the edge. I said to my fiancé “Everything is crumbling - it feels like if I could just fix this, I could fix the rest of it too”

I just managed to fix the dishwasher :)

I don’t think I knew it was so VN heavy so it definitely took a minute.

I’ve got just under 20 hours played which is a decent amount (I’m sure I left it idle a bit too), but I’m not sure how much I will go back to it post-story.

I’ve been quietly plugging away at Screamer, rolled credits and actually… yeah, I really enjoyed that.

Took me a while to lean into it being a silly anime visual novel with a driving minigame attached to it, but once I did, I had a blast.

I’ve finally given Hell’s Paradise a shot - I’m a few episodes in and it’s… awesome?

I feel like this show had some really bad luck and people were quite harsh on it. I’m really enjoying it! The animation is so so, but otherwise it’s really quite beautiful. And… brutal.

Really fighting the urge to buy Crimson Desert.

I'm still working through Screamer and am climbing Slay the Spire 2 ascension levels.

We also have a group playthrough of Final Fantasy X with a bunch of dad friends, starting in May.

We really fought it with #1, but with #2 we just said "Nah, we need to sleep too" and went almost straight to cosleeping.

#1 coslept from about a year and now at 5 she's an amazing solo sleeper.

Had a casual midday rewatch of Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz just now. It really is a nonsense plot, but goddamn if I don't love the 90s cheese.

Wing was my first Gundam series and absolutely shaped my perception of what a Gundam/mech should be. Iconic designs.

Honestly? Really wish it was longer - felt far too short. But absolutely stunning. I’ll be rewatching that episode 8 over and over again.

It’s been on my radar, I really do need to commit and give it a try.

It's funny, I've never been a fantasy guy - always leaning towards science fiction instead.

But there's something about these three stories (manga and anime both) that are just so wholesome and compelling. Maybe I'm a fantasy guy now?
