Traffic wardens do an excellent job and it's weird that they are so maligned. The people who get tickets are too lazy to park somewhere that doesn't cause an obstruction or too cheap to pay to park somewhere proper. Bad parking massively inconveniences pedestrians especially those with disabilities.
