Republicans know they are about to lose the House and are trying to give Big Oil its holy grail: legal immunity from any futures actions that would hold the industry responsible for the climate crisis it knowingly caused and is making worse every day.

It’s a settled point that housing and a bit of basic income is cheaper than punishment but the US thinks it’s being soft on crime to help people, and there are people who make money on prisons and punishment
The Paris transformation continues, unhindered by the culture of excuses, and self-sabotaging election results, that we’ve seen in too many other cities.
This is what the US could have done if it hadn't spent $20 trillion blowing up children in the Middle East in the past 35 years.
Once you realise that the 2 most lucrative businesses are #war and #illness, it’s easy to understand what’s going on

A country capable of electing a Donald Trump—twice, no less—is too dangerous and unstable to be “indispensable.”
Is that bad? Seems bad
"Its worse than you think. The coming global food crisis."

Trump isn’t the problem, he’s a symptom. The system failed when it chose profit over accountability and forced itself on others. He reflects the insatiable beast that was already there preying on us all. Change will require building a new nation before the current one rightfully collapses.
Lol... let's check in in 6 months to see if Doug the grifter has really sold the private jet that he used taxpayer's money to purchase.
How about focusing on emergency rooms and doctor shortages Dougie rather than a quick trip to your cottage?

Jackson Browne is one of the greats imho. Late For the Sky has been on my mind for the past few weeks.
As Canadians rally to stand up to the threat from Washington Poilievre is trying desperately to walk in Trump's shoes.
Doofus. A total doofus.
I’ve had the same editor since 1967. Many times he has said to me over the years or asked me, Why would you use a semicolon instead of a colon? And many times over the years I have said to him things like: I will never speak to you again. Forever. Goodbye. That is it. Thank you very much. And I leave. Then I read the piece and I think of his suggestions. I send him a telegram that says, OK, so you’re right. So what? Don’t ever mention this to me again. If you do, I will never speak to you again

Someday, with luck and hard work, she will have a name too.
Trump’s “complicated relationship with the Bible” is a lot like my complicated relationship with Charlize Theron
Public housing ends up being cheaper, as well as being a social good.
I'd also want to know *who* bought it. Seems like to me, some rich person/corporation could buy a heck of a lot of goodwill from the government by paying the same amount.

Small victory pushing back against Ford's #OntarioOrban corruption...but you know it's only because he got caught
A large white waterfowl with orange feet stands in front of a door. On the door is a cardboard sign secured with tape that reads, "DO NOT LET THE DUCK IN." Adding insult to injury, I think the duck might be a goose.
Whatever you do,
“We forced Ford to sell his Gravy Plane but his authoritarian regime still profits his rich pals while he cuts teachers, nurses, autism, ODSP - unless you’re rich in Ontario you’re getting screwed!”
Keep up the pressure! #FightFordProtest April 25!

Humans are not part of shark diet and sharks do not hunt humans
Most shark bites are cases of mistaken identity—where swimmers or surfers resemble seals or fish
Yet Hollywood has never made one movie telling the true nature of sharks
Spielberg made millions for portraying sharks as monsters
Canada's Justice Minister Sean Fraser says he has significant concerns with the way the provinces are overriding Charter rights by invoking the notwithstanding clause, and he's prepared to establish guardrails around its use as the document turns 44. #Canada #cdnpoli
