Already got tree canopies & water caustics in there?

Have a nice trip!
It's so good I thought you're making Minecraft look like Hytale :D
I'm over here hopping between different work & hobby projects, game jams, nvidia-rtx, master builds for bugfixing, feature branches... 😵💫
Version managers are the only thing standing between me and less happy me.
There's a couple of Godot version managers out there, but afaik none of them are well suited for custom local builds.
My best hope atm is Godot Launcher, the author added custom builds to their 2026 roadmap: godotlauncher.org
Nodes are a crutch, inherit Object!
Can't wait to get rickrolled!
A poster announcing GodotCamp 2026, a community event dedicated to the Godot Engine. Taking place May 16th & 17th 2026 at FZI - House of Living Labs, Karlsruhe, Germany.
Following last year's great success, our local Godot user group is hosting another GodotCamp 💙
Last year's event featured over 60 sessions, including talks, workshops, discussions, and a 90-minute game jam 😅
There's a few tickets left, check it out: gc26.godot-karlsruhe.de/en

Both the blogposts (i.e. jettelly.com/blog/csg-ter...) and Bluesky posts always adhere to the same patterns.
Bulletpoints, Emojis, Markdown formatting, GPT-esque language.
They recently posted about the YARD addon and just ran the author's original post through some GPT. Without asking.
I recently finished Shovel Knight on an Anbernic and it was an absolute blast!
Feels like it was made for these devices.
Thanks for clarifying that! Puts my mind at ease a little :)
Is this kind of stuff welcome on the Godot💙 feed @steinmakesgames.bsky.social?
Not super happy with @jettelly.bsky.social automatically turning Godot & Blender posts into AI slop and reposting them to Bluesky with links to their blog :/
Bluesky to me is about the authenticity and genuine connection & conversations you can have with posters.
What are your thoughts on this?
Jettelly is scraping and AI slop reposing Godot & Blender content at a considerable scale (without consent of the original posters) here & on their blog.
Likely to drive traffic and sales.
At least it's somewhat relevant and includes attribution, but I don't like this kind of "content" on Bluesky.
Reminds me of Outer Wilds in all the best ways <3
I find it quite hard to discern the player & camera movement.
Some subtle details on the surfaces would go a long way.
I bought an Anbernic RG34XX SP some months ago and absolutely love it :)
Very much recommend installing MUOS (and this theme: theme.muos.dev?groupid=CatOS)
They also make different form factors, some more suited for DS games.
Oh and it's easy to get your Godot games running on them!!!
An anthropomorphic shark menacingly telling the reader to "START! WITH ONLINE! IN MIND!" when you consider developing a fighting game.
Just presented a talk about how to make fighting games at @godot-karlsruhe.de! I had a lot of fun and it was recorded! I will share the video around as soon as it's online, together with the slides! The main message was loud and clear too (credits to @joshuajacobsonart.bsky.social for the drawing)!
Just gonna leave this here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=LE9k...
And the relevant Godot proposal, why not: github.com/godotengine/...
I like the composition! I feel like Reconfigure's iconic style should get more of a representation in the final one tho :)

That's gotta be the best demonstration of global illumination ever...

Could you (at some point) share the steps necessary to get hardware tessellation working?
Documentation on that is sparse to non-existant unfortunately ;-;
Amazing stuff!!
I think it'd look even better if they looked at the item they just grabbed a little longer.
Can't explain it either, but to me that's the oddest number under ten...
Imo health info is only really relevant when you take damage and while you are at low health..
Maybe show the hearts decreasing when taking damage and an intuitive 'low health' state... (red pulsing, vignette, frown, sweating, cracks in suit, heart beat sound etc...)
Gotta be honest.. that IS a pretty damn good representation of my taste in music 😅
(only funny with sound)

Godot's VoxelGI has been broken for 5 years, rendering outside of non-uniform bounds..
Show the PR some love if you'd like to see the fix in 4.6: github.com/godotengine/...
Thanks 🫶
P.S. I also added boundary fading, but that'll be another PR ;)

Symlink!
My partner and I just got an apartment in Karlsruhe after ~3 months of searching.
Here's the breakdown:
66% Never replied or stopped replying
20% Didn't invite us to a viewing
13% Invited us
1% Scam
Well.. to answer my own question:
This GDC talk presents a great way to speed things up!
