Hey UX designers: don't change the scroll speed on your site or app. Nobody likes that. I have my scroll speed set where I want it, I didn't ask for your input and your input is not required.

the only thing george lucas has ever done or been wrong about is making the empire look too superficially cool. the flash-but-no-substance obsession with aesthetics is a real element of fascism but americans are unable to parse its meaning as a thematic note

There is nothing ChatGPT can do that your local librarian can't show you how to do better and more ethically while helping support your local library. For the record.

The reason sandwiches are so great is the sheer diversity of answers to this prompt

Same, but on Jewish marbled rye.

That question is impossible to answer!

I would say my top three, in no particular order (just depends on what I'm in the mood for), are a Reuben, a cubano, or a Philly cheesesteak. Roast beef and provolone will do for a basic cold cut sandwich.

Eugenics is another form of genocide. It is mass murder.

All Republicans are Nazis. No exceptions.

An aerial view of the northern border of Cooper City with Davie, Florida, from 1999, showing a large orange grove bounded by Griffin Road on the north, another, smaller property and a portion of Hiatus Road to the east, SW 49th Street and the Cooper City wastewater treatment plant to the south, and SW 118th Avenue to the west.

The same aerial view from today, showing the former orange grove filled with a suburban subdivision, including a large canal-type drainage lake between most of the blocks and a smaller rectangular drainage lake in the middle of the far eastern portion.

That larger grove and the smaller one to its east are highlighted in orange on an aerial view from 1999. The smaller grove is bounded on its west and east sides by other lots, but those boundaries roughly align with a half-block distance from SW 109th Avenue, which comes to an end to the south at SW 51st Street. It's bounded on the north by Griffin Road, the main portion is bounded on the south by SW 48th Street, and a smaller lot is across 48th, sharing a western boundary with the northern lot, but with an eastern boundary where 109th would be if it continued further north, and a southern boundary where SW 49th Street would be. So the smaller lot of the smaller grove is about a quarter of the size of the main property.

That same aerial view with orange lines denoting the properties in question, this time from today. Not only is the larger grove a housing development, but the southern lot of the smaller grove has been developed into three mini-mansions. The main portion, however, remains an orange grove.

To be clear, as I recall, the larger grove had taken a MASSIVE hit from citrus canker, and they just weren't able to make it profitable again without buying a ton of new trees. So it wasn't that nobody's buying anymore, it was a natural cause. But it's still loss of valuable grove land.

There's still a smaller grove a couple of blocks away, but it's less than half the size. And you just don't see new groves popping up on the outskirts or the rural areas. The Florida orange industry has been dying a slow, miserable death for decades.

There was a large orange grove behind my elementary school in Cooper City. Not long after my family moved to North Carolina, that grove was wiped out in favor of a new housing development. Granted, it's in the urban area, but it's a part of the urban area known for being exurban in nature.

Trump’s FCC Wants Input on Whether ‘Transgender and Gender Nonbinary’ TV Programming Is ‘Appropriate’ for Children The FCC, led by Trump-appointed chairman Brendan Carr, wants feedback about whether the TV industry's voluntary ratings need to be tweaked -- specifically with regard to how shows with child-friendly ...

1: This is not the purview of the FCC.

2: It's ENTIRELY "appropriate," the Nazi Republicans are simply genocidal fucks who want to eliminate transgender people.

3: Brendan Carr will go fuck himself. That's not a suggestion, it's a statement of fact.
