Before the Easter break, 50 Y12 Geography students headed to Boscombe for coastal fieldwork. They assessed the town’s economic health, and evaluated regeneration ideas - including a beach bouldering wall (staff failed the climb!). Our students were outstanding throughout.

Our student chaplains have been raising money for a community project to support Sanctuary Seekers in Bristol. Before the Easter break, they organised an Easter Egg Raffle and raised nearly £300! Thank you to the families who donated eggs!
Just before the Easter break, we had our annual Holy Week Prayer morning. This year the theme was that Jesus knows us by name. All students in Year 7-9 listened to the Easter story and then creatively wrote their names on bookmarks.

Over two very soggy Fridays, our heroic Year 11s splashed their way around Temple Quarter and the Floating Harbour to judge regeneration success. They interviewed the public, took a Bristol Packet tour, dodged puddles like pros—and were an absolute credit to the school!

We marked Pi Day today at SMRT. Some of our wonderful mathematicians held a competition to see who could recite the most numbers of Pi. David in Year 10 set a new SMRT record reciting 1102 numbers! Here is a picture of Oliver in Year 8 who managed to recite 110! #PiDay2026
