The sight of salivating hacks waiting to pile into Labour for the likely Trump created inflation figure is not pretty.
The same hacks were mute when good unemployment and wage data were published.

I don't think there's anyone who has what it takes to do the job - to everyone's satisfaction.
But I'll take Starmer and the shortcomings of his political antennae over every single one of his recent predecessors.
Watching the sadistic onslaught over the past few days has been sickening.

Also, not forgetting the frequent photos he posts of his latest exotic holiday destination, just to rub our noses in it.

Amidst the Mandelson brouhaha and kerfuffle a metric that really matters - real wages are rising.

Problem is they only focus on the bad when it comes to Labour, never any of the good, yet casually overlook the countless lies and misdemeanours of Reform.
It is, or should be, possible to apply the same scrutiny to both!

Because ultimately it won't affect them. Just us little people.
They benefit financially from all of the turmoil. I don't know how they can live with themselves quite frankly.

Warren is doing the job that all the political journos are failing to do.

Political journos are now little more than content creators for their own personal benefit, where facts take a back seat to an endless diatribe of gossip.

Lots of good policies.
Plenty of good work being done to improve lives and rectify the damage of 14 Tory years.
Things that are NEVER mentioned, let alone discussed at great length by Lewis and his ilk.

It's outrageous.
Rather than the job of informing the public of provable facts, the endless febrile drivel these political journos serve up is detrimental to the national interest. They're complicit, and should be ashamed.

That's why we have to continually challenge 'gossip' from our increasingly biased media/client journalists and insist on facts.
Not supposition, claims, unnamed sources - facts/proof!

I'm also seeing that the commentators on here who said Robbins would "bring the receipts" are now pivoting to another argument now that Robbins appears not, in fact, to have the receipts. Obviously this may change in the coming hours and days, but it's interesting to see the bias unveiling itself.

1) who in the FCDO knew & withheld the information from the Government & Parliament that Mandelson had failed vetting?

2) how did this information suddenly get leaked to the Guardian less than 48 hours after the PM found out and was still seeking the truth - who as involved?

Yes.
Transparency from journalists is arguably just as important as it is from politicians.
Sick of the double standards.

Sam mistakenly believes Labour MPs have the same low standards and lack of morals as the Tory MPs he used to happily work alongside.

*Many* positive changes have been made to clear up the pile of crap the Tories left. It takes far longer than 18 months to change everything.
