Lead us not away from temptation;
but deliver us to evil.
For thine is the spray tan,
the dour and the hoary,
Until the midterms.
Amen.

The Fraud's Prayer:
Our Father, who art in the White House,
hallowed be thy combover;
thy blingdom come;
thy will be dumb;
In Washington as you are in Florida.
Give us this day our daily round of golf.
And forgive us our insider trading,
as we refuse to forgive those who investigate against us...

Questions I have now:

1) who in the FCDO knew & withheld the information from the Government & Parliament that Mandelson had failed vetting?

2) how did this information suddenly get leaked to the Guardian less than 48 hours after the PM found out and was still seeking the truth - who as involved?

Yes.
Transparency from journalists is arguably just as important as it is from politicians.
Sick of the double standards.

Sam mistakenly believes Labour MPs have the same low standards and lack of morals as the Tory MPs he used to happily work alongside.
As if that was possible.

Due process was followed.
*Many* positive changes have been made to clear up the pile of crap the Tories left. It takes far longer than 18 months to change everything.

Adding your own (biased) assumptions is not fact. It makes you just another conspiracy theorist.

Video

Worth a few minutes of your time to watch these videos of the PM giving the facts and the timeline of events around Mandelson.

Don't listen to cherry picked parts with added opinions from comentators.

Listen to the PM himself.

The difference between Richard Tice and Angela Rayner is that Tice knew exactly what he was doing. Rayner was in completely uncharted waters relying on the wisdom of others.

Blimey. Hope you're ok otherwise.
Pruning can be dangerous (either that or I'm clumsy/accident prone).
I've got scars on my forehead and hand from over-exuberant pruning.

This makes the scale of Rayner's alleged error - for which Reform hauled her over the coals - look like monopoly money

In case you’re confused - the £100k of tax Richard Tice failed to pay here is totally different to the
- £92k of tax not properly withheld on dividends
- the £600k side-stepped via highly aggressive tax avoidance

Yesterday we had a journalist post on Threads to say the press doesn't like Labour and holds Labour to higher standards than other parties.

It confirms what we all knew and see every day.

But shocking that someone in the media bubble actually said it out loud!

Reform is corrupt.
Tice is a tax dodging cheat.
They want power to make money for themselves.
The foreign bribes, the crypto donations, the bitcoin investments, Farage and Kwarteng’s cosy little deals…

They’ll treat the UK and the NHS as their own fire sale.
We must never give it to them.

Well...
I'm sick to death of the number of lazy, biased journalists and media, failing to scrutinise parties and individuals fairly.

Your pics inspired me to pick up the knitting needles for the first time in years. Last jumper I knitted was about 30 years ago - I knitted the neck opening too small - felt like being born again every time I wore it 😅

Sunday Times headline from March: Reform's Richard Tice avoided nearly £600k in tax

Despite receiving dividends, the companies paid zero tax in 2019, 2020 and 2021 for reasons that Tice said related to wider losses suffered by the groups. Although no such information appears in their accounts, he said: “The accountants advise on this and sign the audit and they are top drawer so I trust them.”

Richard Tice had a different explanation for why no tax was paid when he spoke to the Sunday Times last month.

Tice's statements here are all incorrect.

It was a really basic tax mistake. Everyone in REIT world knows that REIT corporate shareholders pay tax on their dividends - this isn't some deep tax nerd point.

I'd expect Richard Tice to know it. I'd certainly expect his advisers to know it. It's a google search away.

What should have happened: the REIT paid no tax but the Tice companies holding shares in the REIT paid £98k tax on the dividends they received.

What actually happened: none of the companies paid any tax.
