It will be extremely interesting to see what institutions like Fenway Health and NYU Langone do now. The ostensible reason for their ending of youth gender care is now gone - will they resume care for all the trans kids they abandoned?

i respect season 2 of the pitt for saying "ignoring your depression & trauma doesn't make you the sympathetic hero, it makes you a problem in the fucking workplace"

two men are standing next to each other in front of a white truck . ALT: two men are standing next to each other in front of a white truck .

Is this what people with power and money think?

“I really need you to hear my deepest thoughts; I believe they will fix everything that’s wrong with our society.”

Groundbreaking.

I love that Charlie XCX declares dance floor music dead and Madonna is like “hold my beer, Charlie, imma do this thing over here.”

We about to see if the goddess still has it and I, for one, can’t wait for it!

The Laundering: How Western Media Built the Permission Structure for Anti-Gender Authoritarianism The countries cracking down hardest on trans people are not Western European social democracies. They are Russia, Hungary, Georgia, and Turkey. The American press got the comparison wrong, and the con...

I wrote about how US media is laundering authoritarian anti-gender politics through a frame of viewing restrictions on trans people as being led by progressive European countries rather than the reality that it is illiberal autocratic states.

Living in Hell War crimes coming: A horrifying update

Don't think I've ever been as terrified in all the Trump security crises. As @pkrugman.bsky.social said, "It’s the most astonishing, awful thing that I’ve ever seen, and we’ve all seen a lot of awful things." Mainly as cope, and to teach it, I keep asking why. 1/ open.substack.com/pub/paulkrug...

Notice how they never cite a study or statistic that justifies AI use in the classroom. Why? Bc there is basically no evidence that AI improves student learning outcomes (and they know it). Politicians are putting corporate profit ahead of student needs—a corporate-backed science experiment on kids

Social movement scholar here to comment on No King again. a 🧵:

These protests are important b/c:

1.) as sustained image events, protests offer evidence of continued disapproval of the direction the country is going and disavowal of the country's leadership.

The Rhetorical Power of Data Centers: Case Studies from the Global North and Global South This Yack article explores the rhetorical power of data centers from Global North and Global South perspectives.

"If the data centers we rely on are built on the infrastructural remains of colonial and imperial ideologies, we must interrogate how these spaces and histories shape our engagement with the newest manifestation of these ideologies."

Senate Democrats voted multiple times to fund TSA separately from ICE. Republicans voted it down every time.

Republicans are to blame for today’s airport chaos — all because they’re happy to keep letting Trump’s thugs terrorize our communities with no consequences.

Remember this.

Sinners deserves Best Cinematographer simply for the fact that it's a modern movie where you can tell what's going on during all the night scenes

So happy for Autumn Arkapaw! She’s so talented.

A quick fact: Ryan Coogler has only ever worked with female cinematographers. His team represents the best of us.
