I am by no means a printing person but Im curious if the black ink is "bleeding" out the stars when printed on paper/photopaper and if maybe you can decrease the amount of black ink being dropped on the print your stars might show up?
i got my Iris Nebula printed on canvas, it turned out pretty nice i think

Orion and Running man Mosaic. The region was divided into six panels and imaged over 3 hours on the night of 12/03/2024 in Peyton, Colorado. Final output is ~90 megapixels. The png attached is about a quarter the original resolution.
