Digital art and reference sheet of my "fursona" for Spyro the Dragon, Makini, whose name means "sharp/clever" in Swahili. Makini is a brown dragon with a lighter brown underbelly, arm spots, nails, freckles, and ram-like horns. He also has a lighter brown cloud-shaped patch cover his entire back, tail, and hips as well as lighter brown tips on his six whiskers. He sports fainter and smaller reddish brown scales along his arms, legs, and nape. His wings are feathery with sparkles and are a gradient of pink that goes from light to dark from top-down. His hair, eyebrows, and tail tuft are pink and poofy with white gradient streaks. His clothes are mostly blue with lighter blue accents, consisting of a top hat, sleeveless vest, arm cuffs, and checkered leg stockings.

Felt inspired by some recent art by @angelofalls.com to post my own dragonsona! ✨

When it comes to the animation world, there is something that brushed me the wrong way for the past decade and it's when people call an animator or an animation "bad" because it's not smooth like sakuga/anime ; vintage disney era.

All animations does not need to be smooth to be called "good".

Chapter 10 Illustrations for my Octonauts AU story, "Ruby Skies, Sapphire Oceans." The top picture has Athena and Typhon spying on Kwazii and Peso as the latter two have a heartfelt conversation in Octopod HQ. Kwazii has his hand on Peso's shoulder while the penguin looks down with a forlorn expression, rubbing his arm. The bottom picture has Typhon leaning out of the door of the BUG-A, dangling a panicking coyote agent from Ambrosia, threatening to drop him into the volcano below.

A reference sheet of Captain Barnacles from Octonauts as well as Prince Kivuli's OC, Ashanti, and my OC, Timber. The three characters are shown in various poses and with varying expressions. Barnacles is a large anthro polar bear with muscle definition and blue eyes - and in the case of the middle right picture, a big bushy mustache. Ashanti is a slim athletic tiger with black stripes and golden eyes, seen dressed in his black and red spy jumpsuit. Timber is a young brown timber wolf, depicted in the lower right picture crying in Barnacles' arms as the polar bear comforts him.

Just a quick reference sheet I wanted to whip up for Barnacles as well as some OCs of mine and my friend's over on Tumblr.
