I would like
clean lines.
Clear edges.
A Church that looks
more like me.

But catholicity
refuses that comfort.

East of Eden: Unite the Kingdom

On Sunday he hears both refrains:

“We can’t cope — too many migrants,
our town is overwhelmed.”

And in the same pew:
“Welcome the stranger.
And anyone who disagrees — far right.”

I saw it—
on the road from Reeth to
Arkengarthdale:
an old petrol pump,
abandoned by time,
leaning like a tired priest
who’d forgotten his prayers.

The Gospel of the Wild Messiah

He did not come robed in safety.
He did not come crowned in gold.
He came with dust on his sandals,
blood in his future,
and fire in his bones.

Not to keep the peace—
but to break it open.

He didn’t leave Leeds for a fresh start.
He left because staying meant fear.
The flat was chaos —
tinfoil graveyard,
door kicked in,
violence crouched in every corner.
Even the bat he kept by the door got nicked.

This is not
the fog of war.
It is the fire of injustice.
And a silence
that screams
complicity.

Lord have mercy,
Blessed are the Peacemakers

Do we stand with Hamas?
No.
With Hezbollah?
No.

We stand
with the mothers,
the buried,
the broken,
the breathless.
We stand against hostage taking
and those kept without trial.
We stand
against slaughter,
whatever flag it flies.

No Gaza.
No grief.

We say this clearly:
Not all Jews are Israelis.
Not all Israelis
support the killing.
To confuse Jewishness
with this war machine
is antisemitic.
Full stop.

And we—
we fixate on chants,
argue intent,
debate decency
while Gaza dies.
The UK sells arms.
Ministers nod.
Red carpet deals,
stained.

And the feed—
Glastonbury,
Glastonbury,
Glastonbury.

Look—
sniper's bullets
shatter spines.
Bombs fall
on bakeries,
hospitals,
cradles.
Children die
without warning.
Or with it.
Either way—
they die.

From Glastonbury
a scream broke through—
'death, death to the IDF'—
words,
not nice,
should have been silenced,
but words.

Should the police investigate?
Maybe.
Words can stir.
But the IDF isn’t a person—
it’s a war machine
breaking international law
like glass
under boot.
