Quite possibly my favorite movie of all time.
Just a really loud "womp womp womp" trombone sound throughout the whole house/office when you hit it.

I was warned to not take the northeast regional @amtrak.com train. I should have heeded that warning.
Switching trains mid track to a second full train, it's gonna be great.
You are not powerless. You are not alone. Groups aggregate power. Be together.
starting to do research on a subject you know nothing about is like
me: "okay. first question: how do lawyers work?"
source: "um... well, what kind of lawyer are we talking about"
me: *writing down enthusiastically* there are types of lawyers
This is a good reminder that open source doesn't mean free or forever. The Ingress NGINX project has been a gift to the community for almost 10 years and should be celebrated. All the contributors to the project have my respect and should be proud of themselves.
tweet screenshot: a popular myth is that people who are Very Computer have computers that work. nothing could be further from the truth. the Very Computer are capable of generating much more novel and fascinating ways to make computers not fucking work and exercise this capability wantonly
I think a big chunk of the "linux is hard" sentiment stems from the fact that most linux users do weird things with their computers. basically this:
The miso salmon okayu is my all-time favorite breakfast right now.
I'm gonna have to order these barbacoa tacos after looking them up 😋
Stowaway gourmet makes some amazing ones too.
Why is every interaction with TSA so varied? Sometimes folks are very helpful, but often I get frustrated and angry responses even when I follow their posted instructions. Agents get frustrated when I don't follow their ever-changing rules, despite receiving only glares and no instructions.
Le Sigh
I shall be there.
i've been cooking without love for 4 months and my family and friends have not noticed. some have even complimented the food... usually i've left the dishes emotionless but have experimented with adding ennui and occasionally acrimony
@proton.me Please will you please stop redesigning your app and just smooth the wrinkles instead? I think I've archived the same 5 emails 5 times between web and mobile, and they just keep coming back. Every redesign is a new set of pain points.
Yes please.

Hey Tokyo. I'm here, and I'm tired.
Ha, bad edit on my part. Meant to say, will you be there?
I’ll be speaking at the first ever #KubeCon + #CloudNativeCon Japan in Tokyo June 16-17 - will you? It’s a great opportunity to meet up with #TeamCloudNative and share ideas, discuss new solutions, and innovate together. Hope to see you there!
Here's the Schedule: bit.ly/3FEJdQJ
At a certain point, meetings are the work. Building up others, coaching, mentoring, setting strategy. All these things happen with other people face to face.
I had to start seeing it that way, because otherwise I feel like I'm not contributing, but if you stop attending those meetings, what happens?
Hmmm. Lately I may need an alias for 'git spush'
Not sure why that keeps happening
If ISPs wanted to use DNS snooping for good, I bet they could use number of lookups across a region for fast.com abd speedtest.net as a great indicator for an outage. I bet it would be quicker than downdetector

Senior dev: I’m horrified by how much of the code I’ve written is still running in production
I really don’t understand how people don’t feel like assholes when listening to their music without headphones on public transportation.
Social media posts that reads: The internet was a mistake. Our modems used to scream to warn us.

Today's travel gets more wild. Airline says this flight is "weight restricted" so my backpack can't go in the overhead. I guess it magically weighs less when you put it under the seat?
