Tomorrow, the Democratic Party of Evanston members will vote to endorse candidates.

Unfortunately, the DPOE misrepresented us on the ballot, didn’t tell us, and still has not issued a formal correction.

So we’re doing it ourselves:

I know they’re trying to turn this shooting into Dealey Plaza with their desperate camera angles and excuses for the murderous ICE officer but how do they explain the subsequent refusal to allow a doctor to reach the car? And lying that they already had medics there? All on tape.

What a contrast:

On the one hand, one grandiose spectacle in the nation's capital, a panorama of propaganda put on by an aspiring autocrat.

On the other hand, thousands of assemblies of free citizens across the nation, authentic celebrations of the proposition that here the people rule.

'We're citizens!': Oklahoma City family traumatized after ICE raids home, but they weren't suspects A woman says her family’s fresh start in Oklahoma turned into a nightmare after federal immigration agents raided their home, taking their phones, laptops, and life savings – even though they were …

Please highlight this story.

ICE stormed into the wrong house, trashed the place, and made women/girls stand outside in the rain in their underwear. ICE also stole phones, laptops, and cash savings from the family, who moved to OKC two weeks ago.

Okay, I'm going to repeat my Lorde/Weezer theory:

1st album: The big one with all the hits
2nd album: The beloved fan favorite that didn't sell very well
3rd album: The dippy happy one that split the fanbase

So if I have this right, the next video should have the Muppets in it

Wondrous Item, Very Rare

Tensions may run high when two sides quarrel over disputes considered irreconcilable. Sometimes emotions may bubble over to physical actions and in times like those, a few moments to speak may make a world of difference. This necklace is cast from solid gold, with a silver pendant resembling a dove hanging from it. When clasped around your neck for the first time, it magically locks into place becoming unremovable until you pull it hard enough to snap the chain.

While this necklace is clasped around your neck, you gain a +2 bonus to persuasion checks made to secure peaceful agreements between two sides. The GM determines whether this bonus applies to any particular check.

When a creature takes a hostile action against you, such as attempting to attack or grapple you, you can use a reaction to rip this necklace from your neck activating the magics within. The dove pendant animates and flies into the distance. The necklace casts charm person (DC 17) on up to 5 creatures of your choice that are within 30 feet of you. You are never considered to be fighting the creature when the spell is cast this way. The necklace becomes a non-magical gold chain after casting its magics.

I propose a simple exchange. I post some free, human made #DnD and #Pathfinder2E content. You repost if you enjoy it. Do we have a deal?

Been watching all the Best Tech of ‘24 videos. There’s a stark difference between @theverge.com and #Testedcom. Every product V recommends has a caveat or drawback, like they made a list of sponsored items and added disclaimers. T shows stuff they found value in and they are genuinely excited for.

An oil painting of six iterations of a Hilbert curve superimposed over one another, rendered in increasingly squiggly lines of blue, yellow and red, with the paint of each layer smearing into that of the previous layers and creating transient sections of smeared gradient between the red, blue, and yellow colors as the paint combines and drags across the canvas.

An oil painting of a Menger sponge in white, blue, and orange, with very vibrant colors at the foremost edge of the cube-like structure, fading tile by tile into toward a common light grey hue and value in the background as if disappearing into the fog; the visible interior in the lower left is almost indistinguishable from one colored face to the next.

An oil painting of a Sierpinski carpet rendered in dappled one-inch squares of blues in the foreground and yellows in the background, creating a subtle implication of the core shape while feeling overall very noisy and without contrast, like pastel tiling seen in the bottom of a pool from the surface, or like a color blindness test plate.

One of my cityscape paintings, ''The Stars Don't Sleep''
oil on canvas, 31.5"x19.7" (80x50 cm)
I love old cities and old cars. Especially when it's night, there are two moons and a lot of stars. Especially when I invented this city myself.

Time to hang more on Bluesky! I’m Amy, a landscape painter based in Iceland. I love this wild environment so expect to see a LOT of art like this + posts about my plein air adventures! This is one of my oil paintings from last year, Vífilsfell over the river.
