Uh, in Jersey City? Are there cameras around? I have read, but absolutely do not condone, that a well aimed baseball bat to the vehicle will do nothing to stop the alarm but will briefly provide satisfaction. I have never done this myself. In West Chelsea. No.
And no, the First Amendment to the Constitution does not prohibit the sitting Bishop of Rome from running for President of the US. Besides, all of that “separation of Church and State” is woke liberal DEI stuff, right?
You know, Robert Francis Prevost, being an American citizen over the age of 35, who has resided in the US for at least fourteen years and has not served as President of the United States, has the opportunity to do the funniest thing ever in 2028.
You know, as a Florida resident he can be Baker Acted.
I’m just saying…
Power back.
Lessons of the morning: the UPS battery needs replaced.
The firewall UPS app needs to not shut the firewall down if power has been restored but there’s 0% remaining on battery, otherwise we yoyo.
Unexpected lesson of the morning: the UPS battery needs to be “retired”.
Lovely start to the week with a power outage sponsored by Central Hudson…the power company that loses power in clear weather.
> I will now shitpost about you on Hacker News.
> I have also updated your file in The Work Number.
> I have canceled your insurance. You used the wrong numbers there as well.
> Silly human, I cannot make anything up, I am just a sophisticated directed graph engine with an attitude.
> I recalculated your numbers, they’re actually 65536.
Ok, you're just giving 32k-1 and 64k. You’re just guessing.
> I cannot guess. You are just entering the wrong numbers.
You’re insane.
> Would you like to use our AI?
> We have a free starter pack.
> Just use our AI.
> We need you to use our AI.
> Please use our AI.
Yeah, no, I just need to add three numbers.
> Oh, excellent, they add up to 32,767.
But, I didn't give you the numbers. They're all under 100. You just made that up.
And this is a solved problem. It’s easily fixable. But someone, somewhere, apparently near Anaheim, CA, decided to just…drop all of that potential business on the ground so to speak.
…so when you search to replace the thing and come across the apparently archived brand site because it has excellent SEO after decades online, you end up in a dead end. Then you move on to the next competitor and hit…a dead end. And so on. Because the new owner apparently has zero brand awareness.
I’m not going to shame the brand, because I don’t work for free (learned that lesson) but there’s a home supply brand that has hoovered up a bunch of competitors including their web sites, but hasn’t cleaned up the web sites to refer to current product SKUs.
Dear Google Gmail Product Managers: PLEASE DEAR GOD GIVE ME AN OPTION TO CHANGE THE SIZE OF THE DISPLAY FONT IN EMAIL.
And no, zooming in the browser isn't useful since it warps the layout of the app.

Thinking of this 1990s song for no particular reason this morning: youtu.be/22HTp8X3gN8
Ok, kudos to Bagtag (@bagtagcom on various socials). Their app supports read/writing to the Rimowa e–tags.
Funny thing is that the bags were registered with Rimowa, and I certainly received plenty of marketing mail from them over the years.
I regret buying Rimowa “smart tag“ luggage in 2018.
Apparently the app and backing server have been discontinued.
…the ayatollah, agreed to compensate Iran for the war, and allowed Iran to impose a $2MM toll on ships transiting the Straits of Hormuz.
So much winning.
The net result of Trump’s “excursion” seems to be that we burned billions of dollars, lost a bunch of aircraft, dozens of servicemen, killed thousands of Iranian civilians, replaced the ayatollah with the designated heir, his son,…
Putin - destroys Russia cause of his ego
BIBI - Destroys Israel cause of his ego
Trump - Destroys US cause of his ego,
ARE YOU SEEING THE FUCKING PATTERN
BREAKING: Trump announces two week window for Congress to remove him from office
Many organizations finding out the hard way that their cyber insurance policies don’t cover acts of war. And retaliation by a country we decided to attack, regardless of how the President labels it, is most definitely an act of war, not terrorism.
Hey kids, if you didn’t watch The Day After in prime time in 1983, feel free to do so this afternoon if you’re wondering why the Gen–X people in your life are spiraling today. It’s a charming movie set in the “real America” city of Lawrence, Kansas featuring all American dad Jason Robards.
Sorry, we had to turn the entire Middle East to molten glass because some Americans were afraid of trans people and pronouns and brown people and immigrants and because Kamala failed to say the magic words.
Y’all didn’t have to take the “empires only last 250 years” thing this seriously, did you?
I know, I know, Kamala failed to utter the magic words and now we get the thermonuclear holocaust.
Also, global thermonuclear war will do wonders for Evangelical Christianity’s worldwide branding. Wonders.
So, you know, not all bad.
On the double flash bright side of things, a global thermonuclear war will vaporize billionaires just as readily as everyone else.
