👀 Shockingly, OpenAI's o3 model fabricates actions it never took and then elaborately justifies these actions when confronted.
This happened during the testing of a pre-release version of the o3 model by Transluce AI.

My take on GPT-4.1: OpenAI dropped their model after Google this time and seems significantly behind.

Nobody really needs a 'mini' version that isn't very smart, nor a pricey main version that underperforms. People want the best AI (Gemini 2.5 Pro) or the best value (Gemini 2.0 Flash).

Also,
- try 4.1-mini for low latency, and optimize
- try 4.1-nano for massive/superfast workloads.
(e.g. classification, long context extraction, etc)

🚨 gpt-4.1 + mini + nano are out today!

- smarter, lower latency
- way better at coding
- stronger instruction following
- 1M long context support
with 4.1 (smart & effective)

DolphinGemma: How Google AI is helping decode dolphin communication Dolphin researchers are using Gemma and Google Pixel phones to try to decipher how dolphins talk to one another.

> DolphinGemma is the first LLM trained specifically to understand dolphin language patterns.

> Leverages 40 years of data from Dr. Denise Herzing's unique collection.

> Works like text prediction, trying to "complete" dolphin whistles and sounds.

Text Shot: Thanks to its large language model technology, Encore lets shoppers run really specific searches, with queries such as: “dress like the one Carrie Bradshaw wore in season 6, episode 12, in a size 0 or 2.” Or “mid-century modern dining table in walnut finish but it has to have leaves to accommodate eight guests or more.”

OpenAI's new $200 price tag isn't just for chatgpt pro.

It could set a standard for other AI companies (like Anthropic, Codeium, Cursor, Runway, and Luma).
We also may see a growing gap between affordable AI and advanced AI users. This price hike could change everything in AI.
