Yes Singapore has free showers. No they're not open at 11 pm.

The only time I've ever desired one was when I had a midnight departure out of Singapore and REALLY needed to shower before my 18 hour flight home after walking around Bangkok all day. I'm not proud that I paid $45 for this but the rest of the plane was probably grateful.

Wait I forgot another error: when I flew from Newark to Singapore, I showed up way too early to Terminal B, which has absolutely nothing to do. In my defense if I'd missed that one daily flight my trip would have been pretty much ruined.

That explains some of it but you still have to deal with airline customer service, one of the worst things in the world.

The only time I was wrong about this was when we showed up 90 minutes before our flight in Taupō, New Zealand. The airport was one room with no security. The guy checking us in was also the pilot.
