#18: Setting I remember fondly
The "world between worlds" was my childhood paracosm, complete with conlang. It's a pocket dimension populated by recreated dead humans, protecting Earth from demons. Kind of a Star Trek-type utopia with magic, if you look past the, uh, forever war going on.

I think the game takes a "screenshot" of the background at the native resolution in order to "freeze" it during a textbox. So on emulator with bigger resolution the background just looks pixelated during that
In a one on one meeting with my parents she showed them other kids' artworks because they were more interesting
One day we were making statues and I wanted to make a cat with angel wings but she told me "no religious references" but she had okayed a whole ass Buddha from a girl so I called her out
So she called the girl and told her "actually no" in front of me and I'm pretty sure the girl hated me afterwards
One day I was drawing a missile, grey with a little red at the tip, yknow, your basic bitch rocket. She looked at it and announced very loudly (well she was never not loud) that it was a "Freudian slip"
Took me years to understand she thought it looked like a dick, because I was like 10 at the time

This one needs some backstory: in middle school, in art class, this was the theme of one assignment. Taking a picture of the deep seas and inventing stuff around it.
Hence, here, deep sea.
Wish I could say it's a fond memory but i defo got into art IN SPITE of that art class lol

Je fais souvent ça sans mods, en Single biome avec un biome un peu hostile, genre stony peaks, beach, snowy slopes, badlands... C'est devenu encore plus viable depuis l'existence des Trial chambers. Limite envie de faire ça avec les sulfur caves quand ça sortira en snapshot.

I'm glad this version exists for accessibility, but it did itself no favors by coming right after I-II HD2D, who were masterful overhauls that respected the source materials and even extended universe stuff
Maybe in 15 years we can have a definitive edition helmed by someone who actually cares

Idk, man, you can feel the game was directed by someone who just didn't get VII. Stuff that needed changes (too few unique NPC models) wasn't, the game became somehow MORE episodic while trying to streamline it.
A lot of what were perceived as flaws and smoothened out were actually the fking point
Basically it's either too easy or "every random mob is tanky as fuck and every battle takes fucking forever". It became a bit grating. Bosses were okay.
Aside from that, every plot rewrite was clumsy, and the localization wasn't proofread or play-tested nearly enough.

Alright that's me done with #DragonQuestVIIReimagined. As an all time defender of VII... I had a good time but I'm mixed.
The gameplay changes I'm mostly okay with, the QoL is good, the vocation system is different but comes together nicely. The difficulty though...
