It's possible that Kroger "knows me" and is giving me that push-you-to-the-limit pricing. I have had a lot of loyalty in the past, but I'm not above going to Aldi or Meijer if I have to. Meijer at least delivers, like Kroger.

Grass cuttings? (I wouldn't eat the local dandelion greens because the lawns where I live are so green I feel sure it's unnatural.)

Bok Choy are $2.99/lb, same as a napa, but they weigh much less, so they only cost about $2.50 each.

A Napa cabbage, which is to say a green-and-white vegetable, over a price ("about $8.97 each" for a cabbage, $2.99/lb), and the text "Napa Cabbage" and "SNAP EBT".

A Napa cabbage -- not even an organic one! -- costs $8.97 at Kroger right now.

A green cabbage is $.99 a pound, or approximately $2.50 each. (Non-organic.)

I'm not even a huge cabbage fan, but it's Good For You, so I'm buying. But: strewth.

Dealing with distant and annoyed relative, job work, non-job work, eye irritation, and having scheduled myself a fasting blood draw and then absent-mindedly reached for some almonds and chewed them before remembering the "fasting" part!

We all saw, clearly, that she had the best job in the whole company. She hadn't written it, but she was the only dBase programmer left in the state, or something like that.

The company refused to replace it, much to my consulting parent co's chagrin, because "what was there to improve??"

I remember a Thing Doer at an industrial company I worked for!

Only one person, a woman, worked on it, and she picked her own hours. It was based on dBase 3 and if 2 people were in it on the same record they had to do a call tree to find out who and where they were.
