Not to me or a lot of people. It is obvious on social media sites that many people have opinions. What is apparent, as well, from the backlash against my stating a simple fact, that people do not want information that may not comfortably fit their narrative.

It is simply a fact. Why does it make you so upset?

It is profitable because of a constant clientele. It is a volume business. Suppliers are paid in 30 to 60 days (or more), but the product moves quickly and is paid for immediately creating a window to make money on money. As well, stores have non-food products that are more profitable.

Wow! Now you assume to know my motivations and well as my opinions! And apparently have an inside track on information unbeknownst to others.

How is stating facts ‘stumping for the richest people’? You don’t know what my opinion is - I merely stated facts. When I formulate an opinion, I like to do it with some factual knowledge, whether it wholly supports my opinion or not. I choose to be informed, not merely opinionated.

‘Don’t act like’…? Personal attacks negate anything of value that is offered. I chose not to engage with you now.

They were caught. That is the good news. However, if all you had were small mom and pop stores, groceries would be way more expensive.

Check out how profitable the grocery business is… their margins are very narrow, net margins are between 1 and 3%. What make it’s a desirable business is it that it has a constant clientele. For example, Walmart uses its grocery business as a draw for the more profitable items in their stores.

Girl! Get a hobby, read some good literature or self-help books or just a good ole mystery novel, volunteer somewhere, call a friend and have some cheerful conversation, do a crossword puzzle, engage your intellect… you’ll feel better and won’t have to ask strangers if they like your looks.

Our relationship with the US has changed, it is not over. Economic relationships are being forged with other countries. This US alliance with was cemented by Mulroney. The US economy is one of world’s largest & they are our biggest trading partner. Slamming the door is not economic policy.
