Given the state of the roads after the winter we just had, I wouldn’t want to ride skinnier than 35mm in urban Cambridge

Breaking news: my toaster oven has achieved an internal temperature over 4x hotter than any human on the planet
“Economic Fury” sounds like a party theme from a pack of gross, sleazy business school students
I’m 5’4” and airplane seats already feel cramped to me. Can’t imagine how tall folks feel crammed in there
Bongino at least gets a point for realizing he’d rather just be a podcaster than actually be responsible for anything
I thought the subway was surprisingly handy to get around as a tourist. Can easily see how it would be less useful if you actually lived there
…he was on Bush’s legal team!
This is how the liquid metal T-1000 from Terminator would play tennis
“Charming private room, $400/month plus utilities”
Lovely sparse usage of shading!
Feels like such a classic Onion piece. Reminds me of the “stabbing may be harmful to monkeys” one

I’m already writing the city council to increase the price to $75 to reach parity with Cambridge

She definitely fell into the uncanny valley for me
Never heard from any, they were always just a nebulous boogeyman
Yeah I stopped listening when they claimed the best solution to overfishing was self-regulating. But the stocks were already in the process of crashing!
Jar Jar Binks with his feet on the table in front of the child Anakin. His feet are disturbingly puffy and swollen
Reminds me of Jar Jar Binks’ feet
Wow!!!
Plus the backlight and auto shutoff means you can read in a pitch black room
Kindles are really nice for reading in bed. Easily cradled in one hand regardless of how long the book is, and a lot more gentle to let go when you fall asleep, don’t have to worry about a big thump or resting your head on a brick of pages you might crumple or drool on, etc
Still crushes me that HBS was ready to go with a sequel but Paradox chose to go with Lamplighter
I always think of the gas explosion that took out a whole neighborhood in Andover, then the oil truck that went to the wrong town and pumped a full tank into someone's non-oil heated house in Medford. Fossil fuels are gross :/
Electricity is expensive for heat pumps (can see it being very attractive if you have solar panels), oil is a horrendous mess if it leaks, and gas is explosive. Trying to navigate this too, my gas furnace is nearing the end of its life.
Still furious at how they dragged Nina Jankowicz through the mud.
Also very reminiscent of the hysteria over FEMA camps and "Jade Helm" and then how they cheered for actual secret police abducting people and sending them to gulags.
Ahh, what a stunning view of my favorite ship. Well done
He’s such a piece of shit
I’m not interested until they do a political drama about Jar Jar’s senatorial career. Like I just want to see him in committee meetings and on the campaign trail and stuff
It always confused me how anyone could confuse a compsognathus with a basilisk, then last year I went to Costa Rica and saw a basilisk—they really do look like little dinosaurs
This from the guy who posed for a photo op in front of a church holding a bible like he didn't know what a book was
