She arrived at #Auschwitz on 26 August 1942 in a transport of 1,000 Jews deported from Drancy. She was among 908 people murdered in gas chambers after the selection.
For months, Russia paraded Krzysztof Flaczek as a Polish "defector" who switched sides to Moscow.
Now a Russian court just sentenced him to 13 years as a Ukrainian mercenary.
The defection story has quietly vanished from Russia's own coverage.
