This painting was much more difficult than I anticipated when I first started. I fell into the details quicker than I should have but after wiping it down and starting over a few times I finally found a groove. I'm pleased with the texture and and overall feel.

New painting:

It's been a while since I did a portrait and I wanted to push myself a bit more this time. This is 36"x24" oil on canvas. I built and stretched the canvas too. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out...it was a struggle but in the end I learned a lot and enjoyed the process.

Do something. I'm tired of the talk.
