It was great to play your game in person! It's very cute.
I hope you had a great TGX!

A backstory vignette comic introducing the relationship of a couple of key characters in the narrative adventure game I'm aching to keep building... Future Ghost
The in-game art style is just like this as well.

Had little choice... Nintendo Australia wouldn't do it because the unit was bought overseas...!
malfunctioning Switch Lite screen with vertical lines across the length of the display
completely dismantled Switch Lite
Switch Lite with new, fully functional LCD display installed

And... it's built.
Nice look overall with some cool details like the airflow grill at the back but it also feels like there were a few missed opportunities in the design of this build. Plastic doesn't feel as nice as Lego of course but everything fits and holds together well, with no missing pieces.
Australian Kmart had a Famicom *not* Lego set for $6. It would have been illegal not to have bought one.
Happy Lunar New Year 🐎
I'm really bad at social media, but if you are reading this, please take a moment and consider joining for our 5th annual blind accessibility game jam starting in Feb! 5 years, over 100 accessible games made, help us do even better!

Thank you Wenmar! 🙇
This is now what greets the player when they first run the story game I'm making, ◀Future Ghost▶

Vector graphic with comic print textures, showing a Union Jack overlayed with cartoonish icons representing a computer monitor showing text and a speech bubble containing a speaker
New in-game language option UI element, who's this?
(the monitor photo at a weird angle is a deliberate choice)

Thaaat's better...!
Now the player character's low-gravity walk cycle displays just fine on Android in the narrative adventure game I'm making, ◀Future Ghost▶
Which hopefully means it will also display just fine on consoles like the Switch... 🤔

The Game Expo here in Naarm / Melbourne today released their official photos from the event in March this year.
This was my booth. This was my impassioned-looking way of talking to someone about my game or something.

The spoiler-free explanation is that he's gritting his teeth to do something destructive that he doesn't really feel comfortable doing. 😅
So I released the updated prototype on itch. If you're feeling bored or kind then check it out and tell me what you think.
Thanks very much for the kind comment! I'm glad you like it. 😁
It's Wei Song, the player character from the narrative adventure game I'm making, ◀Future Ghost▶
A rare direct-to-digital drawing. Most start off as pencil on paper.
How would you caption this? What is Song reacting to?

By the way, the sound effect text is there not only for the comic book feel but also for accessibility reasons, for players who can't hear the sounds.
Do you like it when a game lets you do things like this?
Because ◀Future Ghost▶ - the narrative adventure game I'm making - has a few interactions like this one!

Not being facetious about the plugin. It IS great. Just has holes in it that I don't know how to fill. Hence the necessity of workarounds.
One of which my son came up with just today when I was rubber ducking one of the above-mentioned problems with him!
Goal is a 100% blind gamer friendly #indiegame.
Got a great plugin for screen reader compatibility.
Reads things it shouldn't, like image filenames.
Doesn't read things it should, like in-battle menus.
Workarounds take time and lateral thought.
#Accessibility IS important, but ISN'T always easy.
