Holiday gift project planned. Friend and I will split painting a #WarhammerUnderworlds core box for a mutual friend.

A similar box from my co-painter friend brought me back into the hobby a couple years ago. Other friend coached me through building an Eldar Wildrider host back in 40k 3rd Ed.

Blood Bowl Sevens pitch with game in progress. Undead turn 5. Ghoul blitzer is in the end zone having scored. One Imperial has died. One is stunned. All other imperials on the pitch are prone.

Practice game of #BloodBowl #Sevens to try and get the rules down so it doesn't bog down so much when I play with the kids.

Combination of RNG, my inexperience, and my unconscious bias have not helped the Imperial Nobility.

Am I imagining things or are turnovers super frequent?

At eldest's request, we play tested and refined our #Talisman house rules for running games in hours rather than days.

Super pleased to play at child's request. Hoping to build on this while it lasts.

Missed my "play on Sunday" deadline but have a #BloodBowl team built for my daughter to play against my #Undead. 🧟‍♀️

Didn't have them ready to play this weekend but we'll be ready for next weekend.

Plan to play #Sevens until we're solid on the rules.

Termagant model with wraithbone (warm off-white) base coat on head, body, arms, legs, and blaster thingy. This time the coverage is better than last time. Other areas show gray primer.

Infernus marine model with Macragge blue (navy blue) base coat on all areas but aquila, backs of joints, and flamethrower. Coverage is much more complete this time than last.

Friday I needed some low stakes painting so cleaned up the base coats on the space bug and space marine.

Now I'm overthinking on "what thoughts run through their little heads?" I'm honestly more scared by what's likely in the marine's head.

Banshee model with more of the gray cape base coated. There are still gaps behind the body of the model. Model's skirt is a bold turquoise. Model's top remains unpainted.

Vespid warrior model painted mostly orange with dark blue on shoulders leading edges of wings. Dull areas from a recent experiment are now brighter orange as prep for washes and highlights in an upcoming step.

Rapid model shown from above. Both wings are now white, nearly matching in color. One wing has leading edges painted deep blue, the other white as prep for painting them blue.

This #WIPWednesday cleaned up base coat on one of the banshees and cleaned up some of the experiments on the Vespid test model.

I have to make some color decisions on the #BloodBowl team uniforms and didn't fit it in the hobby time.

Steps on Termagant. Only got as far as a single base coat of one color. (We found ways to reduce the down time and get more face time across the family. Huge success.)

I cheated by adding Army Painter brush-on primer and a craft knife.

Drone is feeling pretty done. I don't think I'll fuss over highlights. Tried some rust and weathering on the metal beams. Not sure it works but I'm learning. Curious about doing some chipped paint but I'm not sure how to go about it.

Blood Bowl mummy with grayscale shading to better understand the volumes of the model and leverage the light and dark areas when painting in the colors.

Blood Bowl zombie painted in shades of gray. For this and the mummy I overpainted with a medium gray, then a light gray, then dry brush with white.

Saurian warrior with blue scales and skin. Entire model has a blue-inflected zenithal shading. As it's all done with brush paint, difficult to reach areas are still black as I couldn't get the dry brush or overbrush to reach.

Greening in the cloth. Pleased with how it's working with the undercoating. Decided to leverage the transparency of Vallejo's Game Color Dark Green instead of fighting it.
