2 very awesome things. On a ranger walk along the Grand Canyon so. rim, a Cal Condor flew overhead.
In the visitor center of Petrified Forest, met John Glenn (!) who had retired and was taking a road trip with his wife Annie.

Sounds like a great place to visit. Going on the bucket list!

That is one awesome waterfall. The view of the Canadian side is spectacular.
I also remember being able to get really close to the rushing water on the NY side

Great topic and so hard to choose.
My fav has to have been renting an RV and making the Grand Canyon + Utah parks circuit when my kids were finally old enough to appreciate nature
Attended many many ranger talks like this and loved every minute
