IME, the problem is that LLMs are undeterministic. I have no choice but to give them the exact config files (even if they generated it themselves) in order to ensure success.

So it does feel like a "workflow" win, but also a down/sidegrade.

Would love to hear opinions from the experts!

At KubeCon + CloudNativeCon EU @kelseyhightower.com mentioned something along the lines of "We have Markdown, driving LLMs, driving YAML files, which in turn drive Kubernetes." This is an ongoing treatment.

Agents can now just drive k8s directly now via a kubernetes mcp or the API directly.
