If we just look at raw impact, Timothée Chalamet may have done more to raise the esteem of ballet and opera in the public consciousness than anyone else this century. So technically he is a true patron of the arts, and a hero

Thank you to @mariahaskins.com for mentioning "It Grows Back" in this review. I'm happy to have written "one of the most unsettling horror stories I read in 2025."

My short horror story “It Grows Back” featured on the Locus Recommended Reading List, and I’m incredibly honored

This is why for all of the dozens of stories I’ve started but not finished, I make myself write one ending that I never lead up to. I never know who the characters are or what’s happening, but it’s made me good at endings. Still terrible at middles, though

Contract's signed! I'm excited to share that I'll have a new story coming out soon in @castofwonders.org. It'll be my second-ever published story (at "third-ever" and onwards this probably stops being a significant distinction). It's also a spooky one, on account of the oncoming season

That’s some nice scum tbh

In My Country by Thomas Ha Clarkesworld Science Fiction and Fantasy Magazine and Podcast.

Just listened to this great story by @thomasha.bsky.social. I love a good stories-within-a-story story any day, and this one really uses that structure to great thematic effect. Would recommend (and am)

In the Jonas Brothers’ hit single “Year 3000,” which takes place in the year 3,000, we learn that Nick Jonas’s “great, great, great granddaughter is doing fine.” This means that she’s been alive for centuries longer than a normal human lifespan. I think she’s no longer fully human. Something’s wrong

I can’t help but notice that “white” and “male” are inexplicably missing from this list, even though their counterparts are included

Thanks to Ephiny for the recommendation! I also loved the descriptions/selling points of all the stories in this video, and now my to-read list is a bit longer:)

Maybe I’ve been too absorbed lately in the weeds of think-pieces and comments dismissing out-of-hand the idea that computer systems could in principle have anything close to mental states, but this preprint feels like a breath of fresh air. I’d recommend it to anyone interested in this sort of thing

Another reminder to consider “The Best Version of Yourself” for this poll :)

That’s a very cool cover

This rule is great for me, because I take about a year to write a short story. I hereby embrace this

If any one of my followers liked "The Best Version of Yourself" enough to nominate it for this poll, I would appreciate it a lot. Also there's many other good stories to vote for, but I'm keeping my ballot a secret so as to not influence anyone beyond that
