.... Real video? Or Ai?
I have never before had this attitude towards punishment and enforcement, but whether or not it's humiliating, I want it to fucking *hurt.*
The existence of an analytical chemistry lab solely devoted to maple syrup content analysis, specifically focused on Quebec, is also (from my outside perspective) the Most Quebec Thing I can imagine.
Lots of the news these days is Too Much News but this is exactly the perfect amount of news to process.
Every detail of this story is 💯
Right? It was $2M a ship but why stop there? Why not 5?
TIL that the major thing I wince at in my own human-authored first drafts is overuse of something called "anaphora."
I'll write a whole page and reread it and realize I've written "a key concern here" or someshit like five times in a row without realizing.
It's straight into "talk like a pirate day" territory
If you *don't* have volunteers for the sound effects, then your guests were shirking duties on the four drink minimum.
I was thinking his social media post this morning had very similar energy
I once watched a business guy literally call a gate agent "a disgrace" because she failed to remember to call up his super-elite boarding group distinctly amidst the 900 other groups that come before "1."
People say unhinged things to airline staff stone sober way too readily.
Cleaning out the belongings of a departed relative with an affinity for rifles and other military kit, in the back of one closet we found a mysterious black can marked in German.
Some sort of military ration? Or explosive?
It turns out: smoke grenade!
Do you just plop the assembled board down on the hot plate and wait a few minutes? I thought that "hot enough to reflow solder" just up thru the board would exceed the Tg of the board... So ovens needed to push heat into the solder thru the air, too.
It was like two big plastic sleds on a central axle, joined where your hips go. You laid on top and the sleds had big velcro straps that went over your legs and your chest at the armpits. Then the PT guy turned a crank that slowly winched the two sleds apart. It was great.
You joke about the Wheel, but at some point in physical therapy for lumbar issues they put me on a special table that was literally just the Rack, and cranked me more open by a cm or two and I still remember the relief, that was absolutely amazing.
Anyone I've described this to thinks I'm crazy.
UW what the fuck

Happy One Great Frog night to all who celebrate
I mean the real pro move is to use deterministic guardrails around any agentic system... Anthropic has tons of money, installing endpoint DLP* software on their corp laptops is totally within a reasonable budget.
*digital loss protection/prevention
Agree with Paul... It's worth acknowledging that most users care about outcomes, not process; using the best quality model is the only way.
Also the "api" for LLMs is literally just prose. There has never been SW where it's easier to switch horses. LLMs are lock-in-proof in a way web 2.0 never was.
I mean, I work in the biz too. I understand some of it.
... But also tho (per the thread topic prompt) every normal person on earth believes you should be able to just post a number.
Having seen the spreadsheets used by sales, I also think you could give users a calc even if a flat rate isn't it.
And how much does the software cost.
I hate to hand it to anything in Musk's orbit but SpaceX advertises the flat rate costs for launch to LEO on their website; you can tell me how much you charge for your software.
An actual screenshot or video demo is also something you should put on your site.
Here is a good summary: linfordco.com/blog/nist-pa...
The actual policy is buried in 800-63 but it would take a bit of time to find the exact cite.
NIST - the authors of the NIST 800.53 info security standard followed by tons of orgs - dropped the expiry requirement years ago!
The *only* thing they recommend is that you set a minimum length. No "special characters." No exp date. Just "hey make sure their passwords are at least >N."
This is an interview that is well worth your time: youtu.be/QkC1aK7jfLo
Like is this one of those things where they tell you not to do it again but also people from the Scantron Corporation have a number of technical follow up questions for you?
Wait what kind of thing actually justifies them dragging you to the admin building instead of your own school's principal just dressing you down or assigning you detention or whatever?
Was there any CPU / MCU running code anywhere? Or were they all 100% discrete logic?
... I messed up the syntax up there; double quotes go around "Bash(the whole thing)" because it's json and this is social media.
Anyway, read that fine manual page for the precise usage.
