I finally got it all off my chest (and off my hard drive!).

Oh absolutely. I can see why for a number of reasons, but even though it does drag a bit and is considerably slower in places, i think it is still a far better game for being slower and more spread out. Really give you a feeling of adventure that you don't quite get in retail.

I'm finding the levelling between 30 and 40 in vanilla classic World of Warcraft to be an incredible drag.
I was trying to get to 60 so I could make a video on my feelings about the game then and now but it looks more like I'll be lucky to get to 60 before the server progresses to TBC!
