On Friday I realized the new gig increases my chances of going home for a while in December. Fingers crossed. Today I woke up to this memory. This is here the next novel takes place. Good thing I believe in omens…
I did this a few years ago with a panel that got rejected by AWP. We had a great time at Barrelhouse, a better conference.
Jamel Brinkley at Books Are Magic for the launch event for his second collection Witness.
Went to a great book launch in Brooklyn last night—basically a craft talk. Read Witness by Jamel Brinkley!!
Best Microfiction is here! Please help spread the word! 🙂🙂🙂
Good writing day. Also, a good day for wall repair. It sounds like these two things do not go together, but spackling and sanding creates a meditative moment that holds a kind of magic. #AmWriting
Emily Henry's Book Lovers
My 15yo gives this 3/5 stars, but she devoured it in 2 days, so I don’t know how accurate her scoring system is. She said she really didn’t like any of the characters, so she couldn’t love the book. This bummed me out bc I know we all love to write unlikable characters.
