And it is all done with the most beautiful, evocative yet unfussy prose. It is totally immersive, if you’ll forgive the pun.A contemporary tale with mythic echoes, The Sirens is a haunting mystery that had me gripped!#bookstagram #bookreview #booksbooksbooks #fiction #speculativefiction

It’s so well done, really worth watching, but it’s not easy viewing!

It’s very well done - I’m sure it will start conversations, which has to be a good thing.

It does feel very real. Nothing very explicit or violent, but emotionally it hits hard.

Not sure why I decided to binge watch this with a hangover, but if I wasn’t in bits before, I certainly am now. As a mother of preteens, it was incredibly affecting. #AdolescenceNetflix

"The village folk bring pies and cakes, but never stay to eat them.

I don’t take it personally. They don’t trust the land to hold, here on the edge of things. They think I’m mad to stay. There are places in town, they say. More houses than people these days."

Do you like beautifully written stories? Do you enjoy bird lore? How bout stories that draw attention to climate change? You're in luck! "Two for Joy" by @raeswabey.bsky.social checks all of those boxes and it's live now in Entwine 79!

The challenge is to choose 20 books that have stayed with you or influenced you. One book per day for 20 days, in no particular order. No explanations, no reviews, just covers.
