True, but seems like it happens too often for it to be something like that.

There seems to be at least about a third that will be up for anything. Then a few more trickle in, but he is approaching historic lows.

Regarding that third, there is a sizable chunk of the country that doesn't seem sure what century we're in.

By the way, I still don't understand how they sometimes sneak in without notification. I occasionally look and I have acquired some new followers but never received notification of them. They are always suspicious ones. How do they do that?

I am not sure that is an improvement. πŸ‘Ώ

Yes, JD Vance always does whatever Democrats want. πŸ˜„

Even if they could convince Vance, he is just one vote. Unless and until I hear a groundswell among Republicans in Congress and additional cabinet members, this is just Democrats having a wet dream.

Well, between my amazing good looks & my incredible wealth, it is quite understandable that hordes of young attractive women looking for sugar daddies are interested, but still, I have to draw a line somewhere.

Driving down the Loire is so great...Chateaux and wine. What could go wrong?

Keep going till you hit Bretagne.

Great trip.

Sandra is close to 6 ft tall. You'd remember. 😝

I would like the ability to remove followers too, not just mute them or block them. The distinction is small, but meaningful.

Beautiful area. If you get a chance, see also some people close by like Monte d'Oiro, sant'Ana, etc. Also, go into the Colares region. Gorgeous and different.

At Chocapalha, the family gets the job done. Was Sandra Tavares there when you were there?

Seems to me this would be more readily do-able at the source--namely, Bluesky. They should be able to tell some things. Recently on Instagram I got a wave of bot accounts that said "created; Nigeria"--they were able to spotlight that so it was easy to block at my end. Lately, no more have come thru

Boy, there sure seems to be an uptick on bots here the last few days. Hmmm. Is it coinciding with Orban's loss? A need to insinuate into accounts?

In any event, it was fun blocking six that had the same 1st post on every differently named account. Then the ones that have 50 followers--40 are porn.

Even if so, it then has to be approved if contested (and it will be) by 2/3rds of EACH house of Congress. So--VP, Cabinet, AND super majorities in Congress

That's a lot of moving parts. I can't see it happening. Impeachment would be simpler, but can't see either happening. Love to be proven wrong.

It's kinda shocking the media are platforming staged idiocy like this. At this point in time, they are still swallowing it.

And always is: how?

Nothing seems to create 67 votes for removal in the U.S. Senate.

25th Amendment is harder to use than impeachment. People need to read it. Can't see Vance, Hegseth, et al, growing a conscience. Maybe they can be convinced to launch a coup? 😊 Then, would it be an improvement?

What worries me, the rubble may be far greater this time. Remember that the world didn't begin to rebuild until the powers that started the war were completely devastated.

This time, nukes are common and Trump, Putin have a large arsenal.

So, do you have a lot of googly eyes laying around? Is there something we should know? Do you stock up on Chianti, liver and fava beans?

They have questions for us too, like how much money can they make from Tate and people like him?

They'll get back to you on the other stuff. Some day. When it doesn't make money anymore.

Yeah a couple years ago, deleted my account. Another big company with rich guy owners I wouldn't trust as far as I could throw them.

Spent a lot of time in Alsace. In that part of Germany, Heidelberg, the Romantic Road towns, etc. In N. Italy, Milan, Lakes etc. Lots more

I'm best traveled in France, but I have been a very good tourist in Europe. But sometimes I had to choose wine or regular tourism. Sometimes I could combine both πŸ˜„

I've been to many parts of the Italian north not involving wine stuff...but not Piemonte

1 day ago 1 0 1 0

Alas, Tuscany, Sicily, in Italy, no Piemonte.

That & Mosel are two key wine regions I've never been to that I would kind of still like to go to. Sort of.

On the other hand, I have seen what Italians call driving and I don't like driving in a foreign country any more in the best of circumstances.😝

Glad I could do a red this weekend. Um, looks like a beautiful June week coming up with lotsa whites. 🫠And yet there is still no white wine icon.

I can't imagine what July and August are going to look like this year. I hear all this El Nino talk..

This evolved well in the glass, too, and the next day. If it seems a bit softer and plumper than some visions of Barolo, it worked on its own terms and was a pleasure to drink.

14.5% alc, $40 then

If you want steely Barolo, this probably isn't your 1st choice, but it has plenty of virtues in a richer style. There's mid-palate finesse to go with a little tightness and lusher fruit. Ripe, but still holds its balance, ending with that big, tasty fruit on a finish with controlled grip.

It seems to almost be a prognostication for November.

If the right-wing extremists were so scared of losing Orban, it must mean something important both for their prestige and their geopolitical position, perhaps in ways we don't even understand. The Putin-Trump axis of evil took a hit.

There was a poll that said Orban lost another three points after Vance showed up. So that's something, even if a drop in the bucket considering what happened.

Anyway, it is way too much fun to blame Vance and I'm not giving it up. We are riding that meme into the midterms.
