Finished my first weathered build with the HG burglarydog. Once I started to get the hang of things I actually really enjoyed the process. I'll have to try some more in the future.

Finally got a couple decent photos of my F91 Madin custom that I painted. I tried to take some ideas from the metal build paint scheme. The yellow was a bit tricky because there were no decals and I had to mask that myself. Really happy with the end result though.

Started my first real weathering project on this HG Burglarydog kit. Wanted to get a couple pictures before I started make it look worse. Stuck to the standard colors and tried adding texture to a couple pieces. So far so good.

I still need to take some better pictures, but I finished with my F91 Harrison Madin project the other weekend. Tried the Mr. Color GGX Gloss clear and ended up with a really nice finish. I can't say it's better than the normal stuff, but it's at least as good and you get 6x as much in one bottle.

Done all of the painting, just have to put on a couple more gloss coats. I had to redo the knees and shoulder armor because I wasn't happy with the edge I got the first time with the yellow. I stripped it and then scribed a line to get a cleaner edge, and it came out better.

Finished up all the big stuff over the weekend. Managed to get a nice glossy finish without too much fuss. If you're looking for a nice metallic blue I would recommend the Tamiya Mica Blue. The metal flake is super fine so unless you're looking close it's not real obvious.

Finished up a little custom build last weekend. Nothing too difficult. Mostly GM/GM with the arms and weapons from the GM missile pod. Had to stretch the biceps a couple mm, changed the shield up a bit, and then added some vents.

Finally finished my Mega Size Unicorn. Didn't do much in the way of customizing, just got rid of a couple seams, re-scribed the panel lines, and drilled a couple holes out. Then painted (almost 5 bottles of white paint) and added the Kosmos LED kit.

Now that it's warming up I've finally. been able to put in some more work on this mega size project. Messed up one of the lights in the shoulder so one side isn't quite as bright, but otherwise things went smoothly.

There's a company called Kosmos that makes premade lighting kits. The hobby shop up here has brought in a couple of them and I was lucky enough to snag one for around $50ish CAD. They don't come with English instructions, but you can find some youtube videos that'll show you how things go together.

Appreciate it. It's a good kit for just a simple paint job.

Last post for today is my current Mega Size Unicorn project. This is the first kit I'm putting lights in and it's been a lot of work.
