My son is working late tonight and I usually pay for him to get a cab home

Tonight I've borrowed the car & am waiting outside his work for him

Didn't bother changing out of my onesie, so I look like a wizard

What son wouldn't love to see his mum turn up to his work like this?

My daughter always has tea & cereal for breakfast.

This morning I felt an urge to make her coffee and toast.

As I walked to her room, she called, " Mum, do you think I could have coffee and toast this morning for a change?"

Her face when I appeared one second later 😱

I have a new neighbour who lives in the upstairs flat next door.

He told me he loved it when I watered my garden because the smell wafts up to his room

Tonight I was watering the garden.

He opens his window and shouts down to me "Well done"

I can't believe it was 2 years ago today that I was in Khiva, Uzbekistan

Khiva's Itchan Kala (The Walled city) is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the best preserved and incredible destinations on the Silk Road

Just look at those walls

Whilst I was away. I asked my son to water my garden.

He told me that he had left it to Mother Nature

I was worried about what I'd return to, but Mother Nature has done me proud

The garden is bursting with colour. I'm so happy

I booked wheelchair assistance for my daughter and it was flawless in Nairobi, Johannesburg & Cape Town.

We were prioritised & treated with care

Arrive at Heathrow and it's chaos. Like they weren't expecting anyone
No wheelchairs, people made to hobble, herded into areas to wait for ages

Trying Spekboom jam which comes from this succulent.

Spekboom means bacon or pig tree because the leaves look like little pig ears

Vredefort crater impact from space.

The meteor hit the earth at 70km per second and penetrated 25 km into the ground, throwing up rocks that were deep in the earth's crust

This geological wonder makes this a Unesco World Heritage site

Vredefort is at the centre of the largest meteor impact site in the world.

The impact created a 300 km strike zone causing giant ripples in the earth's surface

We took a sunset tour to the top of one of them, looking down into the crater

Amazing
