A political hopeful biking in street clothes or professional workwear is infinitely less weird than someone jogging in a suit or slacks in a campaign commercial.

Life is tough these days, but Art A Whirl is only 2 months away! Yay for the best weekend of the year!
Bike story: I was out in s mpls on my 1987 raleigh seneca, and a lady walking stopped me to tell me she had the same bike! We stopped to chat about our good memories and shared love of it. Can’t do that in a car!
Bring every single one of our neighbors home and give this sacred land at Whipple back. 2/

Seen two hugs/ friends excited to bump into each other on @metrotransitmn.bsky.social in the past 24 hours. Cant do that in a car!
A heart on a telephone pole says, “keep going.”
I’ve been feeling pretty burnt out, but I was heartened to see this valentine in Powderhorn last night.
Someone was abducted in St Anthony this morning at 6 AM near 29th Ave & Silver Lake Road. And then at 8 AM we saw at least 5 agents out of their vehicles at 26th & Jackson near Walgreens before they dispersed into the neighborhood.
This isn’t over. We still need people keeping watch & staying safe.
Kindness is free
today person got on the bus and said, with a very faux British accent, "Courtesy ride please?" How could the bus driver say no to that? Of course the rider rode free.
Made this after my dad @pedalingpastor.bsky.social put this on his church sign. Download and print if you like! I think it might make cool spoke cards or postcards.

This snowstorm is a gorgeous part of what makes our state such a beautiful place to live. But clearly, our car forward transportation system is not working well for anyone.
Prioritizing other options and placing destinations within safe and convenient distances is the only reasonable path forward.
Text reads "Next Stop Tru Love!" with an illustration of a bus stop.
Text reads, "I Like How You Roll!" with an illustration of a bus that says "Love Line".

Text reads, "The Ride is Better With YOU!" showing an ilustration with bus and LRT train and heart shaped balloons.
We invite you to B (Line) our Valentine and share the ride – and the love –with us this Valentine's Day by printing, signing, and delivering one of our custom-designed cards to the person in your life who loves transit as much as we do.

@governorwalz.mn.gov rent is due today. You are not powerless. You can minimize these abductions and violence to residents of this state by letting people shelter-in until this federal occupation is over. Enact an eviction moratorium now.
You’re describing an emergency. The world is also watching you and waiting for you to do something.
Are you going to establish an eviction moratorium? Rent is due today.
Dear ICE/DHS/CBP you have no idea what level of compassion and love for our neighbors you have opened up in Minnesota!
3,000+ cyclists in 20° weather biked seven miles for a man we loved, a city we love, and ALL of our neighbors that we love.
Whose Streets?
Our Streets!
I’ve been getting through the past few weeks, barely. Then I saw this sign at the Alex Pretti memorial and it did me in.
“Mr Rogers, They’re killing us helpers now…”
Ice out posters I’ve seen 2/2

I love the Seward friendship coop!
A lovely little mpls story: as I waited for the 14 today, there was a person patrolling for ice watch. A car pulled up with hot coffee for patrollers. The patroller exchanged with ice zines. The love and solidarity here is real.
Arrested while observing ICE, two Minnesota residents describe harsh conditions and fear inside federal building cells.

Thank you whistle blowers, you are saving the lives of our neighbors.
Graphic reading Evict ICE Not Us.
Evict ICE, not us.
Allowing our neighbors to be evicted because ICE has made it impossible for them to pay rent is unacceptable. Minneapolis needs an immediate eviction moratorium to keep people in their homes.
here's a piece I wrote about the horrific act that happened in the neighborhood this morning. www.msnbc.com/opinion/msnb...
Bike Stolen: Tern HSD S8i e-bike stolen from out front of Blaisdell YMCA between 9:50-11:30am (during yoga class) They cut the chain lock and back wheel lock. Police report filed, hopefully this act was caught on Y’s surveillance camera.
Any and all help appreciated.
#1 (large) biking city in the US... and this is the best we can do for a detour to/from the Midtown Greenway?
Come on, @minneapolismn.gov. This is not ok.
Narrow, uneven pavement, steep incline/decline (about 36-38 secs in), 90° turns.
Minneapolis residents & visitors deserve better.
Older man to me at work this morning: “dearest young person don’t grow grouchy and old.” #ikeaheights
Again, murder is legal in America if you do it with a car
I’m always confused when people complain about cyclists not stopping at stop signs.
The vast majority of drivers do a “rolling stop” (i.e., they don’t actually stop) when possible.
This is so normal people don’t even see it as breaking the law, but when cyclists do the same thing, it stands out.
at the @ourstreetsmn.org @thewaroncars.bsky.social event @moresaltedbuttah.bsky.social heard about the @mplscargobikelibrary.com On the 🚌 home she 🤔 “what if I could borrow one of those cargo bikes for art a whirl?!”
This weekend, history was made! What a great bike month @bikemn.bsky.social
Imagine if our cities and neighborhoods made it this easy to opt out of using a car every time and everywhere?
For less than the cost of resurfacing a mile of car-damaged roadway, they could do exactly this in your neck of the woods.
