A minor quibble might be a missing discussion on how the large language models used materials owned by others - without compensation or permission - to train the engines and how that makes trusting the companies behind this even more difficult.

This doc does a good job explaining AI and gathering many of the important voices. Not sure if it will give you hope (it may) but it will almost definitely scare the absolute crap out of you.
