Wow, this felt really nice to get back into some actual coding for game dev, this was vibe coding work on my shader playground, putting syntax highlighting colors into the shader editor, using and learning regex as I went.
I did 19 minute stream, looked at a random old demo, and found a bit of motivation to get back into game dev. This is a short of the final part of the video.

Decided not to go with craters... for now... and instead added layers of color instead of just one here, as the perlin noise shaped the color regions.
adding craters was also fairly easy, and looks great
new planet shader made with vibe coding, ray marching is not as complicated as previously thought!
Minecraft leaf particle (the new ones that falls from leaves) made in shader art, I've been thinking about doing this for months, then all of the sudden, it was way easier than I thought...!

Spent a few days polishing the in-game achievements (🎖️Medals) and the skin unlock menu! Very satisfying to unlock new colors and ships when you've earned them!
