I love this question. I can only imagine early art was about communication, sharing information, teaching and for the same reason I love being a filmmaker—to tell stories.

Defining art is highly subjective, which is exactly what makes it so intriguing and complex.

I completely agree that art is meant to evoke emotions. Even if a piece of art makes you feel sad or induces a sense of unease, it has achieved its goal: to provoke a reaction or stir a feeling. However, I'm not convinced that the only artists were people who liked to "fuck" 😆

Interesting. So if I understand correctly, your viewpoint could change how we see historical art, showing that early artistic works were not only about survival or religion but also about exploring and expressing human sexuality.
