I've uploaded another Don't Back the Front to Mixcloud for the benefit of your ears. www.mixcloud.com/dana-kathari...
Somehow I have followers here despite never posting, so I think I’m going to start using this account to post the records I’m listening to. First up is the For Against album Echelons (Independent Project, 1987) which I’m spinning in honor of Jeffrey Runnings.
Last week’s Don’t Back the Front is now up on Mixcloud. I uploaded it for you, so please listen. www.mixcloud.com/dana-kathari...
Happy birthday to me! My present to myself was a subscription to BritBox so I can watch the entirety of Red Dwarf.
My radio show’s 2024 FAVORITES program is up on Mixcloud for you to listen to! My voice is mixed really low but you’re not listening to it to hear me talk (unless you are, in which I suggest you just give me a phone call). CHECK IT OUT: www.mixcloud.com/dana-kathari...
I resurrected my Tumblr the other day so I could post Red Dwarf gifsets.
❤️❤️❤️ so many people I love and miss dearly
Can we all go back to LIVEJOURNAL? I need to write excruciatingly long paragraphs about how much I hate myself (because I’m still 16 years old)
My first LiveJournal post was about WPRB and Wire. I have been the same person for 20 years. I also think Fig Newtons are pretty good.
I don’t care if it’s corny or shallow but I do get a little burst of dopamine when I get a happy birthday on Facebook. Maybe because my birthday’s in January and I’m deep in the doldrums so any little bit of positive human interaction helps.
lol the punisher demographic is well represented on FB. It might just be nostalgia for an earlier internet but I miss the Livejournal format, though I don't see how writing long confessional diary entries detailing every minute of my day could work now.
Thank you! I liked Twitter as a spectator but there was also way too much noise so I hope this place works as a less toxic alternative.
I remember signing up for Twitter in 2009 (when you had to text your tweets from your phone if you didn’t have a smartphone, which I didn’t) and tweeting “Must Love Goats” because I was on acid and thought that was a great premise for a movie.
Hello! I was never good at posting on Twitter, mostly because it takes me several paragraphs to reach any kind of point and I never received the validation that I get on other social media platforms (read: no one liked my posts). But I want to be where my friends are, so here I am.
