You have my commiserations.

I really couldn't help chuckling at Mark Austin's suggestion on @news.sky.com, while interviewing LeeAnderthal of RefUK Party Ltd, that his accusation of Starmer lying, was just him & Reform attention seeking.
Given the prominence RefUK receives from Sky News, it hardly needs to 'seek' attention!

Sorry Simon, that caption is not entirely accurate. It should read:
"The *fastest healing* ear that wa shot by an assassin.
First time I've read an attribution to Bill Cash being a "sharp political" person. 😉
IMO and it's unrelated directly to politics, one lesson Labour should learn is to televise its daily lobby briefings, (like the Septics do of KKKaroline Leave-it) because there is so much mis/disinformation spread by lobby journalists.
If Joe Public see TV broadcasts, there can be no RW deception.
If there's one thing you can write about @samcoatessky.bsky.social, he is impeccably impartial. ‹/sarcasm›
It's also quite amusing for someone who's part of the right-wing media, to claim that Starmer's jury, judge and executioner are the Labour MPs.
Yeah… while the RW media stands by, idly. 🤦♂️
Ha! The 🍊shit-gibbon has said that his envoys ⬇️ will be joining #SergeantScribbles in Pakistan for peace talks with Iranian negotiators… who won't be attending.
Me for East Anglia Bylines. Just like to point out I wrote this before Rachel Reeves was reported to be looking into “War Bonds”.
Indeed… it was the absence of certainty over his second & third 'given' names that caused my hesitation.
You're not wrong… assuming this is the correct character.

That is something on which we can agree.
Tbf, that was a fairly straightforward question.
With all due respect to Chris, one doesn't really need to go into any in-depth analysis to answer that.
I think the answer is quite simple… a widespread lack of political and economic acuity among the population.
If that wasn't so, populists wouldn't be able to gain traction.
Arguably, not at all accurate.
Surely other possibilities could be earth tremors, earthquakes. 🤔
Yeah… the dirndl is a real give away. It's the Sound of Music, isn't it? 🤪
'Motty'
Voting Reform is the equivalent of voting twice for Trump.
It is an act of pure ignorance, or racism, or both.
And, as we all know, it leads nowhere good.
Please god UK. Do not let that happen. Learn from our mistakes. Learn from America’s mistakes.
Just get your shit together.
Sir Oliver “Olly” Robbins is a clever, well-informed person. He’s also ambitious & diligent. Sir Keir Starmer & his team now have a potentially highly dangerous enemy. Not because Sir Oliver wants revenge (though he might) but because of the facts of the Mandelson case.
A long 🧵. Have a cuppa! /1.
Too bad that those like Rigby, Coates, Powell et al at @news.sky.com aren't more active on here… they'd be beneficiaries of the information herein. Mind you, Sky News is not unique.
😂😂😂
Oh dear… I bet that makes a mess of the ermine. 😬
Watching (yet another repeat of) Phillips and I've reached the conclusion that old William Skakespeare must have been a time-traveller.
I'm convinced he wrote: "The lady doth protest too much, methinks" after having seen/heard Liz Kendall.
Ye gods… such fucking indignation every time she speaks. 🙄
Red legged partridge
Red legged partridge
Yeah… some creatures just don't know their place, do they? This red legged partridge flew onto our back garden wall, nosied in our lounge, then dropped down & ran across our lawn.
A couple of years ago, a mallard, from a nearby lake, laid a clutch of eggs in one of the borders of our front garden.
Even if that character's surname is spelled differently, he appears to be how his surname sounds.
"The populists are not insurgents. They are not even interesting. They are the oldest trick in the book - division dressed up as deliverance, resentment packaged as renewal. And when they have actually governed? . . . .
"Conflict. Inflation. Fracture"
Great stuff!

Good Thursday morning, friends!!
I know my giggle of the day is late.
We can thank Bluesky for this.
But here we go gang.
Have a day y'all!

I looked straight back at him and said: "It's not my name on that prescription"… to which he replied: "Ah, I never thought of that."
FFS! 🙄😏
…I asked to collect my wife's prescription. I duly told the staff member the name of the recipient of the prescription and the address.
Thirdly, I asked for a pack of cocodamol and the staff member referred back to the presciption and told me it contained (other, stronger) cocodamol.…2/
Ye gods! The staff in Tesco pharmacy don't get any better.
Firstly, I again made the mistake of picking up cheese & milk *before* queueing at the pharmacy counter and nearly had the horrors as I thought they'd go out of date before I was served.
Then, when I was eventually served…1/
