Clean Cities' new research has found that car club parking tariffs in many London boroughs exceed the cost of private car permits. This should be the other way around - people need affordable, convenient alternatives if they're to move away from the private car. #AirPollution #ZeroEmission

Thank you @sianberry.bsky.social for pushing on this. In opposition, the Labour Party promised us a #CleanAir Act to protect children’s health. Breathing clean air should be a human right. #EllasLaw

Lobbyists send legal threats to councils over anti-wood burner campaigns At least eight councils receive legal threats alleging flyers criticising wood burners are in breach of advertising codes

"Straight from the playbook of tobacco".

The Stove Industry Association has been pressuring councils to tone down their public health campaigns, telling them they were exploring options for potential legal action.

This stinks even more than the burning they promote. #WoodBurning #AirPollution

Ella’s Law has been published 👏

No child should have the growth of their lungs stunted because of dirty air where they live and play, yet this is the reality of air pollution in England. Ella’s Law would change this.

My thanks to Rosamund and all the hard-working campaigners demanding change.

One difference between RKM and the others is he isn't jumping and so it looks a bit more naughty as he clearly doesn't need to push to get elevation?

Southwark council is waiving parking fees for car clubs.

This is a *very* welcome first step from @jamesmcash.bsky.social and is the start of building a policy environment that supports car clubs in London.

We now need all boroughs to follow Southwark’s lead.

The focus now needs to be on delivery and fairness.

Whilst much of the UK is below new PM2.5 levels, most of London is not - more needs to be done to support people living in urban areas to breathe clean air.

Funding for clean air has been slashed - more investment is needed to support action.

It was positive to see the EIP published earlier this week.

Highlights include:
- Acknowledgement we need to focus on sources such as woodburning and freight
- EU alignment on PM2.5 targets
- Support for local authority AQ teams
- More data to build awareness and engagement with vulnerable groups
