On International Bat Appreciation Day, it feels fitting to listen to an entire album dedicated to them. So happy to be a part of this great compilation. 🦇🦇🦇 @dustopianfreqs.bsky.social

So thrilled to be a part of this. 🦇
Feels like mourning at the Devil's Arrow. What a photo!
It will feature a rather amazing stand-out track by someone rather amazing 🦇

Landscape colour photo of Jonkonnu performers in colourful costumes standing against a black background. From left to right, a grey horned Cow Head with grey fabric body, multicoloured all over rag Pitchy Patchy with pointy head, Horse Head with white skull head and red fabric body, head to toe rag Jack in the Green with a pointy head, the Devil wearing black and red patterns and holding a fork.
Photo taken just after the Jonkonnu performance from last Saturday at Well Dressed Dark Peak/White Peak, The Quad Derby. Hugest of thanks to the excellent performers @susieoftraken.bsky.social, Aery Lyndon, @geologydisco.bsky.social, Liam Hopkins, and Matt Kerry.
If you did, I had so much brandy it erased my memory... 😵
Portrait colour photo of small badges made from drawings of costumes. Mostly red and green. Some of pointy rag outfits and some of goofy horse skulls. The text on the badges reads JONKONNU - a masquerade tradition from the Caribbean.
I borrowed a badge making machine from my very kind friend @geologydisco.bsky.social and I'm making Jonkonnu badges from drawings of costumes I've made, for an event next weekend. This was the first batch, some of the text doesn't fit so will fix that. What badges have you made?
A collage of images from the sing a long wicker man show
So glad to have kept my appointment with the sing-a-long-a Wicker Man tonight. A truly wondrous evening with minimal sacrifice... 🔥🔥🔥
This is stunning 🌛
This is the greatest thing I've seen in a while

Six slow moving evocative works that occupy a space somewhere between ambient and musique concrète.

Yellow orange and green portrait colour image with information about an event. At the bottom are two figures in costumes, one covered in a grey sheet with a grey cow head, the other in a red checked tartan type pattern sheet, with a horse skull head. Text reads: LINETT KAMALA PRESENTS LIN KAM ART WELLNESS SPACE NOTTING HILL CARNIVAL SHREWSBURY ROAD GARDENS, W25PW SUNDAY 24TH & MONDAY 25TH AUGUST 2025 TAMSIN WILSON LIVE JAMAICAN JONKONNU COSTUME PERFORMANCE
If you're going to Notting Hill Carnival please come and say hi. I've made five Jonkonnu costumes (a Jamaican folk tradition similar to Mummers or Guisers) which will be part of performances in the new Lin Kam Art Wellness space. It will be much more chill in there than regular carnival.
Game recognises game. I never really followed them into their next chapter, so I think I need to remedy that
See I'm an early adopter, so Oceanborn is my #1. The first one I bought and it had a massive impact on me (and the rest of the 6th form common room I forced it upon on the communal CD player)
Would you say that's their best album or do you have another one that takes the top spot?
Bare Grace Misery might be my fave off that particular album...
Click on the time portal and go back to Monday night's @darktrain.bsky.social to hear an excerpt of my track for #FolkloreTapes Ceremonial County series, and possibly even more exciting, a dramatic reading of the folklore behind the track by Kate herself!
