dpaint is clunky for small sprites on a grid but if you're doing CGs and backgrounds it's still unrivaled to this day. especially 16-color stuff or anything with color cycling

i don't play enough amiga games... mostly due to the fact i lack a computer strong enough to emulate them so i always settle for dos ports. i use all the dos ports of deluxe paint... i always wanted to try dpaint IV one day

the ost of living the dream also reminds me more of the tomo collection ost... it feels sample-y and gentle. they really did a bang-up job on this game

my friend showed me a poster in one of the interiors that has the release dates of it + life in NA and japan which is so sweet

the new tomodachi voice tones are so janky... it reminds me a lot of tomodachi collection where they forgo following the actual stress and pronunciation of the words in favor of the pitch pattern of the voice setting and it sounds borderline incomprehensible. i love it

worth noting aa4 takes place from april to october so it's kind of implied that'd be happening after everything was over, if you have to place it. i like that they're all spending time together. klavier's trailing in the back so even though he's still kinda distant he's there with them
