Great album- a fan of Moonchild

Excellent- 1st record? Best discovery? Any that failed to deliver on their promise? I think I got a cassette deck first and remember getting an OMD album for Christmas. I also had the dubiously titled Cream of Clapton, Silk & Steel and Walking on the moon in those early years.

Data centres are energy hungry but what if we could use their waste heat to heat our homes?

That's exactly what happens in places like Finland: Cities are tapping the vast amounts of waste heat generated by data centres, and feeding it into district-heating networks.

Good choice! Biosphere (Geir Jenssen). I seem to recall the main track samples the film 2010. It's a really nice melodic phrase.

Great advice- true for anything you create. Reach out and connect to others.

Used to dream of owning one of these back in the 80s, but I settled for a still v nice Technics RS905 after slogging my guts out at John Sainsbury for months. I still have it but haven't had the nerve to play it.

I don't really do hero worship but a few really do hit home and make sense. I'd like to celebrate them for that connection. For making me glad they are there. Happy Birthday Birch wherever you are!

I used to visit a record shop in Brum every week for the latest releases. My student funds depleted very quickly.

Remembering the pioneering artist Pete Namlook - Orb Mag Fans and those who knew Pete Namlook will remember his accomplishments which have revolutionised ambient and electronic music forever.

It's so easy to be consumed by things that you miss the important stuff. I didn't know this. I loved Pete's music and loved the FAX label. www.orbmag.com/features/rem...

I have partly fallen with Beefy. I don't believe I have anything in position 1, however.

I spotted this on submithub. I don't know how accurate it is though. Nice to see though. www.submithub.com/ai-song-chec...

If you've not seen it, Leslie Caron is simply wonderful in the beautiful Lili (1953)

truly sorry to hear this. we've had several and nursed them through various illnesses as best we could, until we couldn't. i don't know what you can do. i know money shouldn't restrict us looking after pets and sadly it does but your last line is a true declaration of love and moved me.
